Friday, January 31st, 2003

i’ve been a member of this club for a couple of
months and realize that this club is getting tons of
visitors and new members. this is great. we can hopefully
share tips that work best and make this acne thing, a
thing of the past. i’d like to welcome all new members
and encourage people to make this club work
take

pro-active…

Friday, January 31st, 2003

i don’t think pro-active will work for me because
i’ve been using benziol peroxide (a main factor
in
pro active) for many years. i think the skin gets
used to a medicine so you have to change. i’m happy
for the people that got good results with it. as for
me i’m happy with the results i’m getting right now
with tetracycline. the only acne right now is a tiny
little whitehead
that really doesn’t bother me at
all. i’m gonna use ben peroxide 10% a few times a
day…it will be gone soon, just like the one i HAD two
weeks ago.
bryan

Yea I saw your pics. I could tell you got a tan, cause of the rings around your
eyes. You can’t really tell if you have acne or not.

it is alittle harder to fight the acne now, even
though it’s only a few zits. the reason is that when i
was younger, a teenager…EVERYONE my age had zits.
it’s part of puberty and highschool right? unless you
had extreme acne, acne was no big deal back then and
you weren’t see as odd. now i’m in college, where
fewer and fewer
people have zits. so i think i stand
out, even with 1 zit. but then again, the longer i’ve
lived with acne the more i realize that the zits are
temporary, and will go away. good luck
bryan
p.s.
did u find my pictures?

tetracycline is hard to "stick with" becuzz you
have to take it on an empty stomach, and it upsets
your stomach. i love it and my results have been
great. (i’ve been on it for two weeks). i’ve never used
visine but i’ve heard good things about it. i might try
it later. i mainly use benzoil peroxide 10% cream
morning and night. i found that if i sweat and don’t wash
my face…i will breakout. so after excersising, i
always wash my face. also if i don’t wash my hair for a
few days, my forehead sometimes breaks out.

Hi

Tuesday, January 28th, 2003

Nice to stumble onto this club. I’m probably the
old man here. I’m 30 and have dealt with acne since
my early teens. It’s an ongoing battle. I just got
finished dabbing stuff on my face!! I’ve certainly seen
people with much worse acne than mine, but when my face
is broke out I feel like it’s the worst case in the
world. I’m sure there are those who have elected to not
go certain places and just stay at home with your
head under a pillow because of your acne. That’s me
sometimes. Despite it’s persistence, I’ve really been lazy
doing much about my acne. I’ve tried tetracycline, but
I didn’t stick with it. I’ve tried retin A, same
story. I tried Proactive, and it did seem to help
somewhat, but it wasn’t the miracle cure those
info-mercials would have you believe. I mainly use Oxy 10 and
(more…)

I don’t see your pic anywhere.

When was it harder to fight acne for you,
when you were a teen or when you became an adult?

i’m 24 now. i have had mild acne for 9 years. it
doesn’t bother me and when i have a tan it’s not
noticable at all (unless your inch from my face) sometimes
i get cystic acne "the big painful red ones"…AND
THOSE BOTHER ME BIG TIME.
other than that acne is
just something i have learned to deal with. . i don’t
have a lot of scars from it, maybe 2 which are
small.
clubs like this are great cuzz it lets people
know that they are not alone. that is very important
in dealing with things whether they be weight
problems or skin problems.

p.s. does my picture
here make me look young?…i hope so!!!
bryan
