Eliminating Sugar
Hi, I wanted to reply to your message about
washing your face. Did your doctor tell you not to wash
your face at night? My doctor told me that this is the
most impportant time to wash your face. And never to
apply any topical medication without first washing your
face because you can force debris and dirt into your
pores which can make your problem worse or cause more
pimples. I don’t know where your doc got that from…or is
that just his opinion…anyway…have you ever popped
a zit at night and by morning the area has healed
itself? Have you ever noticed that your face may appear
clear upon your first early morning rising and then it
starts to flare up when you become active and your body
begins to awaken? Well, your skin repairs itself through
the night. In fact I don’t pop zits unless it is at
night. At least 2-3 hours before I go to bed. I wash my
face and apply my topical acne med and by morning
there is nothing there but a little scar if that.
Sometimes if I don’t get all of the "stuff" out I may get a
little pimple again. But nothing to severe.

I
don’t understand why your doc told you that. I do agree
with the wash cloth thing. I have a tendency to scrub
my face. And from all of the invigorating washing
from the terry cloth my face begins to itch because of
the blood flow and I rub harder. So, I use my
hands…after I have throughly washed them. I used to use a
scrub until I found that you can force the tiny
particles into your pores if your pores are medium to
large. Of course that can cause a problem too. So, once
a week to get rid of dead skin I use a baby wash
cloth and lightly go over my face with a gentle soap. I
always use dove or Phisoderm soap. (phisoderm soap was
very drying to my skin) Dove is very gentle. I make
sure I get the kind that has no fragrance or
color.

Okay…all done…LOL…I know I kind of went off the deep
end there, but I just wanted to share.

Delores
