Eliminating Sugar
Well, the story goes that this was right after
summer finals last year, and I had a little breakout,
and the doctor asked me if I had been applying my
Differin. I said not for a couple of weeks, because I tend
to study late and fall asleep before I washed my
face. I had always been told to wait 30 minutes for
your face to dry before putting on topical meds. So, I
didn’t put the stuff on because my face wasn’t clean. At
first I got a lecture ("Patient uses finals as bad
excuse for not using meds") and then he said, actually,
he would rather me NOT wash my face and put on the
medicine than not doing anything. At the end of that
visit, he said that since the Differin and Klaron was
drying me out, that maybe its better that I didn’t wash
my face before bed. I am so bad at washing my face
before bed, and I was so glad he said I didn’t have to
do it anymore, so I just stopped. I dance almost
every night and sweat off much of my make up, so I
didn’t think it mattered much. If it makes that much of
a difference, then I will go back to doing it. Then
I went on Accutane, so I tried to avoid water on my
face as much as I could because I was so dry. I always
thought the point of washing your face at night was to
take off the makeup leftover from the day, and since
it comes off on the Cleocin T pad, I thought I was
okay. Thank you for replying, I appreciate your
advice.

Take Care,
Karyn
