Hey y’all, my name’s Becca and I’m 24. I’m so
glad I found a place for ‘tips’ –looks like I’m back
to the drawing board and could certainly use some.
I’ve had cystic acne (I know, sounds gross) for, well
-since I was 14. I’ve tried everything you can probably
think of and more. I was on Accutane for about 4 months
but my insurance got cut off when I quit my job and I
can’t afford it now, so I’m back to using the "methods
of mayhem". UGH. Anyways, just wanted to introduce
myself –now I’m off to read all the posts.

Hi, Shorty … which is better I cannot answer, and sales-interested people
will always tell you their is. If you’d like to post ingredients to the list
of each line, we could look and perhaps help … or do ingredient searches on
the internet to learn more about them. That is probably the best approach to
knowing if there’s anything in either that you need to avoid … if both have
acceptable ingredients for your skin, you’ll then decide what you like …
it’s trial and error.
I imagine many of our vain beauty practices are less than optimal for the
health of our skin … perhaps someone who has a chemistry background can
answer that one. Meanwhile, if you don’t find answers here about the safety
or risks of these types of products, write me privately and I’ll refer you to
where you can get those and many other answers of this type.
… I want to be smart about my skin care
Good for you … in fact, that’s why we’re all here, and we’re here to help
whenever we can. - Katie
