Well you said you are seeing a doctor? I would
ask your doctor, he can prescribe and find what will
work. As for "what really works", I don’t think there
is any one product, because everyone is
different.

Take Care,
Karyn

Hi guys!

Yeah I see what you’re saying. I just think it’s a little misleading to call
something topical accutane, that’s all.

Nina

Nina,

I know that there isn’t anything
called Topical Accutane, that’s just what my doctor
compared Avita to. Since I’ve been on the Accutane before,
he said, "I ‘m going to give you some Avita samples,
it’s like the topical version of Accutane". Meaning,
it is a vitamin A derived lotion. You are right,
there is no Accutane Lotion though. Also, Retin-A,
Retin-A Micro may be considered "topical Accutane" as
well. I hope this clears up any
miscommunications!

Take Care,
Karyn

Hi guys!

It doesn’t really have a brand name. My little
bottle of medication just says "Erythromycin Topical
Solution USP 2%" It’s made by E. Fougera & Co., but in the
past I’ve also had the same product by Bausch & Lomb.
I don’t think it really makes a difference who
makes it, since it’s the same product.
I’ve never
heard of topical accutane, either. I know that
medications like Retin-A are synthetic forms of Vitamin A,
like accutane, but I’m not sure it’s the same
thing.

:) ~~ Mary

Hi guys!

Hmm I dont know….I dont think there is any such
thing as topical accutane. Accutane is the common name
for the drug isotronen (spelling probably off), and
it also is associated with side effects, some
potentially dangerous. If there were a topical form, I think
that would be prescribed before the pill form, since
topical treatments cant cause all the dangerous side
effects accutane can.

Nina

** I’ve used topical Erythromycin
in the past
with GREAT success, so that’s what they gave me.
**

I’m just curious, but what is the brand name of
topical E-Mycin? My doctor refers to Avita lotion as
"topical Accutane", so I’m just wondering what topical
E-Mycin.

Thanks!
Take Care,
Karyn
