Sunday, November 30th, 2003

Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of acne scars and reduce the size of
pores? I have large pores on my nose and scars on my face and back.

Cover Girl InvisiBlend is THE BEST. It was voted
Allure’s Best Concealer under $12. I normally don’t buy
drug store makeup, but this is an amazing exception. I
don’t use it anymore, because my derm suggested using
30-50% less makeup (I decided to stop hiding the acne
and just use Clinique Superfit Makeup), but its still
a great product.

Karyn

P.S. If you
aren’t convinced about guys wearing makeup, check out
Kevin Aucoin’s book "Making Faces". He puts very
minimal make up on Jay, a businessman, who immediately
looks better. Check out the before and afters of him!

I’ve used concealer for years, and it’s worked
great. I also had a male house-mate several years ago
who used foundation to cover acne, and it worked well
for him. Celebs, politicians, famous athletes, etc
use airbrush foundation for public appearances all
the time, so yes, I think it’s safe to say that
there’s a fair number of men who wear some kind of
make-up regularly. This shouldn’t come as any great
shock.

don’t laugh, but i had a friend a few years ago
who used to use a liquid foundation to cover his
acne. he told me he did this and he showed me the
bottle. nobody else had any idea that he did this.

i’ve never tryed this, but i must admit it worked
wonders for him. has anyone else ever heard of a guy
doing this?

bryan

Hi!
I just read your e-mail and it turns out
that I’m also on minocycline pills(the same dosage as
you) and i use PanOxyl and Stieva-A creams. I’ve only
been on the pills for 2 weeks now and my doctor that
it will take six months for the pills to be working
at their full effect. I was just wondering if you
could tell me how long it was before you noticed
improvement in your skin???

thanks
Claire
