greetings……..

Wednesday, February 25th, 2004

Since I just joined, I decided to read quite a
few of the already-posted messages, just to see what
different people had to say. It confirmed for me something
I already held to be true: there are definitely two
kinds of acne sufferers. The first type? Those who have
blemishes on their skin and hate it. I used to be one of
those… if only life were so simple now…. Because now I
belong to the second group: those whose skin IS a
blemish. I remember when, as a member of that first set, I
thought my life was sooooo miserable; how I could never
look nice because of these horrible marks all over my
face, how no one took me seriously, etc. The sad thing
is, all these people really and honestly believe that
they have it rough. I know I did. I don’t know how
many of you REALLY know what I’m talking about and how

Stress and Sun

in my honest, humble opinion, having a nice tan is not worth the risk of getting
skin cancer.

there are products at most stores in the form of
strips that remove blackheads on the nose. the problem
when i tried them is that it nearly removed my nose
:::ouch:::!! i found it to be very painful, and would rather
have blackheads than that pain agian .

as far
as pox scars go : lasser surgery, demabrasion, etc
etc . ask your dematologist what he thinks is the
best opion for you.

My Life Sucks

Tuesday, February 24th, 2004

koby ,
life is what you make it. if you dwell
on negative things, that will lead to a negative
life. trust me , i know how you feel. i’ve had acne
come and go over the last 10 years and the main thing
i’ve learned is "roll with the punches". i’ve had
women tell me i’m very attractive , then a few weeks
later i have a few zits, and i don’t want to leave the
house.

all and all, acne is no big deal once you
get used to the way your skin reacts.

my skin
is clear now, but who knows what it will look like
next week. i don’t worry about it, and just go about
handling my business.

the thought has crossed my mind when i was
younger, but not over acne. it was over a personal
issuses. of course having great parents and friends to

club in a long time. it is good to see new people

suicidal?

Monday, February 23rd, 2004

yeah i always think that if i were to committ
suicide, it will be cuz of my skin…but trust me, i will
never!!! its just that i earn towake up in the mornin to a
totally clear face, but that seems far fetched now…i
dunno, this shit sucks. do you know how much $ we spend
on our skin? just to try to get it lookin clear…we
should claim our skin on our taxes…lol…the majority
of my skin problems is my dark spots, but whatever,
i have to work with it and do my best to clear
it…
**dont worry everyone…it will all get better…God
cant have us suffer forever because of stupid acne,
right?

Maybe this will work for you

Hey everyone

I joined to see if there was
anything here that I haven’t tried yet. Well I am really
pale so any acne scar is very evident. I hate
it!!

I bought some 100% aloe vera juice and it worked
like a charm but then I became allergic to it. That is
my luck for sure but just in case you guys want to
try it out I would say hey if it worked for me maybe
it would work for you too. My sister bought it for
me at some natural food store or something. Anyway
try it out and let me know how it goes.

Tanya

Hello Portia,

I’ve had this stupid crap
for about ten years now and I have tried SO MUCH
stuff, it’s pathetic. From birth control to topical
prescriptions to other pills I don’t even know the name of to
roll ons, and gels as well as over the counter crap
that NEVER works, because that would be too
easy.

Sorry, I just get really mad over it. Anyways, try
picking up a book called "Don’t go to the cosmetics
counter without me, fifth edition" by Paula Begoun. She
reviews products from pretty much every company and
elaborates on why it’s a good/bad product and the effects it
has on the face. She also lists the best skin care
products and makeup products

And though I don’t
actually buy anything because I have become so damn
paranoid over putting stuff on my face, it really has

suicidal?

Saturday, February 21st, 2004

Is anyone ever suicidal over their acne? I’m just
wondering. I’d never kill myself over it, but sometimes, I
just get SO grossed out and annoyed and hate my stupid
face that I think "if I were to ever commit suicide,
acne would be the only reason" I’m not suicidal, I
just get really upset over it.

Anyone else feel
like that? Or am I just a big freak?!
