Going Back to Proactiv

Saturday, February 21st, 2004

Hello,

I tried Proactiv too, for about
three months, but it did NOTHING for my face, which
really bothers me since I live in Canada and had to pay
more to get it, and it was too late to send it back…
ARGH!

I hope it works for you again… I was so
sure it would work for me, but big surprise, it
didn’t! I’m a little bitter, that’s all

My Life Sucks

Friday, February 20th, 2004

Hi,

I have tons of acne too, and i’ve had
it since I was in grade six (now I’m in my second
year or University) I know it freagin sucks, I hate it
so much, and people get so annoyed when I complain
about it, but I can’t help it, it pisses me off so much
so that I often skip lectures b/c my face looks so
retarded…

I know how you feel, buddy

Stress and Sun

Friday, February 20th, 2004

Avoiding the sun at all costs is *not* what I
meant. Your body does need the sun to help process
certain vitamins in your body, and a little sun won’t
harm you. However, sitting in the sun to tan or "help"
acne for prolonged periods of time unprotected
(without sunscreen) is definately not a good thing. So use
some sunscreen!

Happy Holidays,
Karyn

Water

Thursday, February 19th, 2004

Some people swear by water. I don’t think the
requisite 8 glasses would drastically improve your skin,
but it would never hurt to drink the water. It’s
great for your whole body.

Karyn

Water

Wednesday, February 18th, 2004

I am not a water drinker…i can go wks without
drinking water, but there are days where i would pretty
much only drink water…my question is how much does
water help skin/acne?…does it make your skin look
that much better?

Stress and Sun

Kids,

The sun is actually doing you more
harm than good. Yes, acne does INITIALLY get "better"
in the sun. However, it is not a cure, and will not
cure your acne. Furthermore, it’s causing premature
aging and wrinkling, and higher risk of skin cancer,
which, take it from me, is not a cool thing. I’m 18 and
had a pre-cancerous mole removed 2 years ago. Going
to the sun for a cure is not the thing to do. Find a
script or OTC that works and then put on the
sunscreen!

Take Care,
Karyn
