proactive does it work?

Monday, March 22nd, 2004

For me, Proactive didn’t work either. I used it for two months, and
all it did was make me skin really dry.

proactive does it work?

i tried proactive for 6 months, and it didnt do anything for me. it
actually made my acne much much worse. but i guess it just depends on
who uses it and what type of skin they have.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has tried acidophilus? how much
does it help in improving acne and making skin look better? I have
done some research on it and it seems to be good for a lot of things,
like digestion, colon, clearing out the body, and helping the body
with having more of the "good bacteria" and also for acne. I would
like to buy the pills from GNC to find ou if it does work, but would
like some feedback from anyone else if they have used it to help
clear up their skin and if it is worth buying for it? and also
exactly what brand has anyone else used? well I hope to hear from
anyone on this, and thanks ahead of time for anymore info. you might
have. thanks, kk

Jen,

I think the best way to describe cystic acne is as "under the skin"
pimples. They are very painful, red, and seem to be under the skin.
Sometimes (and usually) they come to a head, but again, they are very
painful. This is my understanding of cystic acne– if anyone has
anything else to add, feel free to do so!

B-5?

Saturday, March 20th, 2004

Hi there,

Have any of you had success with B-5 in large amounts? I have been
on Clear Skin Image (www.coenzymea.com) for many months- and I am not
sure if it is helping or not. I am on about 8 pills a day and
wondering if I would have better results with upping it to 10?

Any feedback would be appreciated greatly!

My best,
Portia

Hi there,

I have never heard of Musafeen tablets- I did a search on them but
nothing came up. Can you tell me where you heard about them?

Thanks!

hi, i am 12 years old and ive had acne since i was about 11. im gonna
share with u something thats worked a lot to reduce my acne, its
called acidopholus, its a pill we got at GNC. it encourages your good
bacteria to fight the bad bacteria. ive just started making my own
astringent by mixing water, vinegar and a couple tablets of dissolved
aspirin, well anyways ill let u guys know how it turns out. Also, what
does cystic acne look like, and what is it?

vitamin a

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

Hi,
But I’ve learned that Vitamin A is stored in the liver. This can be
dangerous if the liver stores too much Vitamin A. How many times a
week should one take Vitamin A to prevent this storage in the liver?
Cheers.

Retin-A & Retin-A Micro (please post back!)

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

I wouldn’t advise it if you have really sensitive or fair skin.
However, going to a derm will yield the correct products for you. I
REALY wanted my acne to go away, quickly. I asked the derm for
some "strong stuff" the Retin A Micro, and he hesitantly gave it to
me and told me to use it sparingly. Within a week the texture of my
skin had changed, I had redness, and peeling, dry, skin. My skin
does not tolerate much– so that’s why I advise against the Micro if
you have fair skin. If not, it works amazingly well– give if a try
if you want! Hope this helped.
