depo

Thursday, November 18th, 2004

I just recently got the depo shot…biggest mistake for me! I
already had very minor body acne (chest and upper back) but now it’s
terrible and overwelming. I’ve always had a very very very clear
face and now I have minor acne on my face - I’m just glad it’s not
worse.
Anyone have any suggestions…besides waiting the remaining 2.5
months until the shot wears off? lol
thanks

ACNE ANONYMOUS

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

Hi all, I’m new to this group. I have 2 kids, I’m 23, have had a
hysterectomy and have recurring facial acne no matter what I use on
my face. My skin is not oily nor dry. The rest of my body seems fine
and my skin is sensitive. Why only my face and how the heck can I get
rid of it? I’ve lived with it for 10 years and am ready to be done
with it, please help me.

thx alot

Going off birth control pills-skin much better now

Sunday, November 14th, 2004

I have been on Ortho-Cyclen for the past 10 months. At first, it
seemed to help my skin a little bit, but then it got alot worse. I
finally decided to stop taking the BCP and see what happens. For one,
I got tired of paying $40/month for something that was useless to me.
It’s only been a few days since I’ve been off the pills, but already,
my skin is improving it seems. I’m not sure if it is because of the
taking the pills for so long that it improved, or because I stopped
taking them, or because of the Avita cream I’ve been using for the
past couple of months. I have stopped using that so often too, as I
realized it was burning my skin.
I feel much better now that I’m not on the BCP also. More energy, it
seems

Antibacterial ointment

Saturday, November 13th, 2004

I have read all the posts about Neosporin working wonders on acne, so
I thought I would give it a try. It seems to work well when I have
the really bad acne, such as a blemish that won’t heal. It’s made it
heal alot quicker. It’s actually a no-brainer to use antibacterial
ointment on blemishes.
Thanks for all the advice

Dull Skin

Friday, November 12th, 2004

Hi all,

I’m hoping you can help. My skin just needs more light and color! It
just seems so dull,
even after gently exfoliating. I’ve just finished my second course of Accutane
2 weeks ago, and
am still taking erithromycin that I took throughout the course. My derm gave me
some Retin A
Micro today, as follow up treatment, as well as the erithromycin. The Retin A
Micro should fight
the acne, as well as somewhat getting rid of the dullness I am experiencing.
However, because I’m
so sensitive, I’m going to start it every other night as opposed to every night,
like he wanted.
I’m going back to Dr. D in a few weeks, and hopefully this will help. Does
