More new products I’ve tried…

Friday, December 31st, 2004

Heyyy guys… Well the products that I purchased from reflect.com
turned out to not really help… but not really hurt. The
customization was cool, I’d do it again, but perhaps create some
product besides skin care. I would say "to each their own" for these
products.

My latest find which I have been VERY pleased with is the *enzyme
cleansing gel* & *drying cream* from www.mariobadescu.com

I’ve got the cleansing gel here… the ingredients are deionized
water, glycerin, papaya extract, grapefruit extract, monomide,
triethanolamine, and methlparaben. It seems to be a very mild yet
effective cleanser without drying. The drying CREAM is just
awesome… The best thing I’ve used since a perscription in quite
awhile. Their Drying LOTION seems to be their most popular product,

Hi Yolanda, just wanted to share some info on products that I’m using . I’m 31
and have always had acne. I got some products that my Dermo recommended at his
office. Although they aren’t prescription, you can only get them @ a derm office
or online (if you know where to go!) I’m using this cleanser called "Revision
Acne cleanser" it’s really gentle and non-drying. it’s used for oily, acne prone
or acneic (skin with acne) skin.It takes away the oil and dirt but it leaves the
"natural moisture" it also has broad spectrum antibiotics in it! anyway, I get
it @Beauty4skin.com

P.S. wash your face twice daily and use sunscreen. and if you’ re gonna wear
makeup you should use something like neutrogena or something hypo-allergenic. if
your acne is REALLY BAD you should lay-off the makeup entirely until it’s under
control.. GOOD LUCK!!

Joan Rivers Thoroughly Cleansing Facial Bath:
($20.00 for 6.7 ounces) is a good but extremely basic, detergent-
based water-soluble cleanser. It would work well for normal to oily
skin types but could be too drying for normal to dry skin. The
vitamins and plant extracts are present in minuscule amounts and,
even if they could have an effect on skin, would be rinsed down the
drain.

Loreal Hydra Fresh Cleanser Foaming Cream for Normal to Dry Skin:
($4.99 for 6.5 ounces) is a standard, detergent-based cleanser that
can be too drying for someone with normal to dry skin, but it is
still an option for someone with normal to slightly oily or slightly
dry skin. The tiny amount of corn oil in here has minimal impact on
skin. It does contain fragrance.

Hello everyone!
Can anyone help me with my blemish problems? I have oily skin and am very prone
to breakouts and nothing seems to work. It either over dries my skin or just
make me breakout more. Any suggestions for a good cleanser???

Hi, I KNOW WHERE YOU’RE COMING FROM BECAUSE I HAVE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME
STORY,WHAT YOU DESCRIBE AS LEFT OVER "MARKS" SOUNDS LIKE ACNE SCARRING.
BLEMISHES ARE REDDENED AREAS OFTEN INFLAMED THAT SUROUND THE PIMPL E ITSELF. FOR
THE BLEMISHES ANTI-INFLAMMATORY AGENTS WORK WELL,AND BENZOYL PEROXIDE SOMETIMES
HELPS. IN REGARDS TO THE SCARRING, IT DEPENDS ON HOW DEEP THEY ARE. ICE PIC
SCARS GO THROUGH THE EPIDERMIS AND ARE ALSO KNOWN AS CRATERS. THESE SUCKERS ARE
REALLY HARD TO GET RID OF. YOUR ONLY CHOICE MIGHT BE DERMABRASION. IF THEY ARE
MORE SUPERFICIAL, OR IF YOU HAVE A COMBINATION OF BOTH DEEP AND SUPERFICIAL, A
SERIES OF MICRODERMABRASION TREATMENTS MAY BE APPROPRIATE FOR THE NOT SO DEEP
SCARS. THIS CAN BE REALLY EXPENSIVE, BUT I KNOW THAT BEAUTY4SKIN.COM HAS A HOME
MICRODERMABRASION KIT THAT IS FANTASTIC! ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE
DERMATOLOGICALLY DISPENSED, WHICH MEANS ONLY DERMATOLOGIST CAN GIVE THEM OUT.
(THEY DO CARRY A FEW OTHER RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS LIKE CARMEX THAT YOU CAN GET
CHEAP) ANYWAY, ITS RUN BY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. CHECK IT OUT, I THINK YOU’LL
LIKE IT. P.S. WASH YOUR FACE AND NECK TWICE DAILY WITH A LIGHT SOAP THAT HAS

All Birth Control Pills Clear Up Acne…

Saturday, December 25th, 2004

Hi people,

Just reading about your mail on the birth control pill. I found that Dianette
helped my acne loads and my skin was no longer greasy after taking it but it
made me depressed.

I am now on femodette which I have had the most tremendous break out on and I
have had to take anti biotics to control the acne and I am going straight back
to my docter. I think I might try this Ortho.

I am not sure that all birth control clears up acne. Ortho Tricyclen
can make that claim because it actually does work and it has been
proven to work.

If you read the tiny information packets that come with your pill

BFB~Has Anyone Tried DERMA CLEANSE!

Saturday, December 25th, 2004

Hello people!

Anyway…BFB Butt, face and back acne. Gross! For a girl. I am so
totally disgusted with myself. My face is the worst. I have had acne
since being a teenager. Now that I am in my thirties it is
significantly worse. My skin is so oily. Sometimes when I forget my
chapstick I and my lips are really dry, I use the oil from my
forehead. Dont do that often, but I have done it and by golly it
works y’all. It really works. That is how slick my face is.

I read on a message board by some chines guy named wai, he said that
acne comes from an internal problem. A hormonal imbalance in women
when the male hormone over compensates and produces all that oil. I
want to be a woman, not a man…:) Anyway…I now have cystic acne
and a tremendous amount of scarring on my cheeks and jawline. I may
