glycholic acid peels / n-lite laser

Thursday, December 9th, 2004

hi,

anyone know about glycholic acid skin peels? i’ve been having them…
just wondered what people think?

also what about n-lite laser treatment? please tell me.

acne is exploited, like all issues to do with appearance in fact.
there are so many capitalists trying to take my money, each promising
a better treatment! they know i’m not a scientist and they can take
my money easily because i’m desperate! anyway… i hate that. making
money from illness and insecurity. these evil capitalists need
smashing! anyway… hopefully this group will be able to suggest some
treatments that work because my money is running out!

does doxycycline work for ace?

Wednesday, December 8th, 2004

hi

don’t take this as gospel but anti-biotics only work for a while,
then you become immmune. that’s my experience. good luck. i hope
these anti-biotics work for you, at least for a while. if you find
they stop working you could try changing anti-biotics or if you’ve
been on anti-biotics for more than a year say i’d just give up on
them. try another treatment. if you stay on anti-biotics eat pro-
biotic foods to stop them killing good bacteria inside you.
ironically anti-biotics supposed to kill acne can actually end up
killing good bacteria and thus creating more acne.

take care and good luck.

Reflect & Eyes…

Tuesday, December 7th, 2004

Well guys, I ordered the basic reflect skin care system. It is
composed of the facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer… The
packaging was nice… I felt like I was getting my own special little
gift! I started using it yesturday morning and so far so good… the
cleanser makes my skin feel so smooth… the toner is mild and
doesn’t dry my skin out. The moisturizer seems awesome… it’s very
light weight and seems to give just the right amount of
moisturization (sp?). I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Maybe it will
by my secret cure. The cost for the three items in the set was $59.
This is more than what I’d usually spend, but the idea of
*customized* products just had a nice ring to it… =o)

I have a little tip about dark circles or puffy eyes… I often use
witch hazel… If after I steam my face or if I’m doing a mask I
soak a cotton ball or pad in witch hazel… lay down with eyes closed

dark circles & puffy eyes?

Monday, December 6th, 2004

well, in my opinion, Dark circles are not the same as puffy eyes, as
it seems someone implied.
I would like to know how to really get rid of my dark circles too.
Though they are not like circles.. it is more like part of a vein
showing. And there’s always this dark part more in the corner of my
eye. Concealer doesn’t help either thing.

As for puffy eyes, does anyone know what helps puffy upper eyelids?
Every morning i wake up, my eyelids are huge. It’s really scary
looking. I can’t go out of the house right after i wake up, because
i have to have my steaming hot shower to help them go down. Only
other things that seem to help are gravity(staying standing up) and
time. Cold water or eye gel does Nothing.

Even worse with my puffy eyelids, my right one is always bigger than

Pores black heads / Puffy eyes? o_O

> Thx Katie youre the best you post info thats golden i reallllllllly
> appreciat it love you! thx!

Thank you for the compliment

What for? You can save a trip to the store and save money by using
ingredients you probably have in your kitchen (or that a simple trip to the
grocer would provide) … Blackheads are the form of acne where the pore is
clogged, the surface of that pore is open, and the matter has attracted dirt
(thus, black).  They are like whiteheads in that the matter is more of a
"solid" (less fluid-like), harder plug.

Steaming pores open just before applying the right Mask is the best method,
but if you don’t want to steam, rinse face well with very warm water.  Unlike
acne gels, etc. that dry up liquidy matter, you want the mask to draw the

Blackheads are the form of acne where the pore is clogged, the surface of
that pore is open, and the matter has attracted dirt (thus, black). They are
like whiteheads in that the matter is more of a "solid" (less fluid-like),
harder plug. The biore strips were a great trial … however, I don’t know
of anyone for whom they’re totally effective.

Steaming pores open just before applying the right Mask is the best method.
Unlike acne gels, etc. that dry up liquidy matter, you want the mask to draw
the matter (think poultice) without drying it further (blackheads and
whiteheads are hardened due to not being liquidy) … in fact, you want the
mask to soften the surface skin to allow the plug through. In this, you’d
want to avoid clays - though very drawing, those are your oil/water
absorbants and can overly dry in this scenario.

I’d much rather mix my own masks to know what’s in them, to save money, and

Pores black heads / Puffy eyes? o_O

No, I wouldn’t recommend squeezing them with bare hands, that’s what got me in
trouble. There’s a little tool you can use instead if it’s already to a head.
As a teenager I used to use a mask called "Queen Helene’s Mint Julep" that I
liked. Didn’t use it for years until I saw it at Walgreen’s recently and very
inexpensive, like $2.99. It’s a great mask to draw impurities out and I find it
more effective than any of the Freeman masks. Give it a try and let us know. I’m
big on masks that really work, so post them if you kow of any! Thx. K

while on the topic, what are blackheads and why are they sooooo hard to get rid
of. i use biore pore strips but they seem to still be there. is there anything
stronger i should try. or any tips of removing them. when i ask the girls at
Origins…they point in the direction of a charcoal-based mask, which i already
have. I’ve even been asked if I squeeze the blackheads out. Is that a good
idea? I read that you should not squeeze the skin to where it turns red and
such. thanks, cindy

anyways k i was wondering you gave me some info but most of the stuff
you put on that list i never heard of =( is there anything i canj ust
buy at a walmart k/mart etc to help my pores/black head problem? o_O

K thx and also this is kinda off topic but i got black circels under
my eyes now anyone know ways to get rid of them? thx alot!
