Bee Balm

Monday, January 31st, 2005

I have an herbal book with an acne recipe in it. I don’ t know how
effective it is since I have not had the chance to try it yet but I will
share it with you anyway. I believe that plants hold a cure for every
ailment that is on the earth, maybe this will be one for acne.

Acne Treatment
2 ounces by weight chopped bea balm (Genus name: Monarda)
4 ounces alcohol (Everclear)

Wash be balm, towel it dry, and place it in a jar. Add the alcohol,
making sure the herb is fully wet. Keep it in a dark place, shaking the
jar frequently. After 14 days, strain into a bottle, cap tightly, and
store in a dark place.
After washing and drying the skin, apply the solution to pimples.

How much does it cost to see a dermatologist

Monday, January 31st, 2005

It costs WAY too much!!!! Don’t waste your money. Most dermatologists
are not really concerned about your skin problems. Proof of this is
not hard to find: they perscribe dark-ages topical treatments that
too often just irritate existing problems and because they contain
wax!!! Yes you read that right. WAX!!! IIIIICK!!!! (So it’s NOT just
coincidence that your face often seems MORE oily after just a couple
hours of applying one of these topicals!)

Moreover, antibiotics have been overperscribed and are now
ineffective for treating almost any kind of malady, let alone acne.
Additionally, doctors have large amounts of money invested in
pharmaceutical stocks of the overpriced drugs they perscribe. So they
like to help those stocks right along to fatten their own pockets.

What helped me was this: I cut certain foods out of my diet that I

Vitamin B

Saturday, January 29th, 2005

I dont really have time to test this for errors, so I hope you all
get this…
I have a kind of tecnical/weird question:
Ive read that too much vitamin B can caurse breakouts. But- Is it
becaurse it cleans out the system or does it caurse it "on its own"
as a reaction to the vitamin overdose?
I take different forms of vitamins and food supplements and in all
it brings my intake of B12 up to 1500% RDS!
Could it harm my skin or the rest of my body?

New Member - Have Question

Friday, January 28th, 2005

I never had a problem with my complexion until after I had my
daughter. I don’t know what you’d call my complexion now because
it’s not really acne, I just have tiny bumps all over my face and
under my jaw line that are filled with dirt and oil. After work I’ll
just go in the bathroom and start squeezing all of them. Sometimes I
can get the dirt & oil out, the rest will develop into pimples. My
face feels oily after work - mainly my forehead. I eat pretty
healthy and drink about 64 oz. of water a day. I also drink about 4-
6 cups of coffee a day. I workout regularly. That’s all I can think
of for now. Any suggestions?

Acne!

Hi Julie!

Since I am new to this technical stuff, can you tell me what is Retin-A?

Secondly, what is accutane and what does it do?

Thanks.

Mark.

From what i know, Airol is a generic form of Retin-A.. so it could
take a few weeks for you to see some results, since tretinoin can
take a while to work on the skin.

About the hair thing - from what it sounds like, you may have had a
cyst, not just a pimple, so that spot that is left - may actually be
some form of a scar. That doesn’t mean it’ll be there forever
though. Your best bet is to ask your dermatologist. Also, if you
get those cystic ones more often, you may want to ask about oral
medication (antibiotics or accutane - i’m on accutane right now and
it’s doing wonders!)

good luck to ya!
