Microderm
I have had 3 microderm treatments this summer, along with 2
extraction facials and a blueberry jessner peel (currently peeling).
I was happy with the microderm but am told that the jessner does the
job of 3 microderms. I am also on The Pill but I do not think it has
helped yet. I do not know if all these treatments will get rid of
new acne, but most of my old scars are gone, at least.
Microderm leaves my face hurting for the rest of the day, so I do it
in the afternoon. Ibuprofren helps, and so does a cold washcloth to
soothe the burning. I saw a home kit for microderm the other
day…it didn’t look anything like what they use on me in the
office. I would spend $80 on one real microderm treatment before I
would spend $40 on a home gadget.
I am lucky - I found a good aestetition (sp?) who I trust. So far I
do not regret any of the money I have spent and although I do not
have a perfect complexion yet, I do look alot better.

Jane,
For some reason, I thought microderm treatment was to smooth out the skin. I
didn’t know you could use it to get rid of acne. Since my skin has cleared up,
I’m thinking of doing microderm to get rid of the holes and scars. What do
you think?

i am seeing an a doctor, and an esthetician. lately, been seeing more of the
esthetician and she seems to be helping. out of curiosity what kind of services
does your esthetician offer? for me, i got for monthly facials and use her
Pevonia line. Pevonia seems to be working on my skin.

Yes, microderm is to get rid of scars. I had so many old acne
scars that I didn’t always know what was old and what was new!
Also, by getting rid of the old, dead skin so efficiently, the new zits
seem to be less severe and go away more quickly.
