Can this ancient formula work on acne?

Hi,

I found this skin cream that supposedly comes from an ancient
Aztec Indians — those are the folks who ruled Mexico when
Cortez came — that is made from sea shells and lemon. I bought
it, and it sure feels different than any other skin cream. It is
supposedly all natural, but you have to use it for a minimum of
30 days, but you can’t use it in daylight.

It is said to work on acne, which I have, as well as rejuvenation,
scars, wrinkles, etc. all inclusive. possible?
Here is the website:

Any information out there?

Thanks in advance,

Sue

Lemon provides a very acidic AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) … which by itself too
strong (not good). Depending upon the strength in which it’s incorporated
into the product, it can be a good thing for some. Sea shells are most likely
finely ground to provide a "pumice" effect that scrubs off dead skin.

    Katie,

It sounds like if your skin is sensitive to topical products or
already irritated, that this may "ancient formula" be too harsh for
    it.

Katrina, I’m too sensitive "all over" LOL …

That is why I’m an "oats" preacher - it does the job and doesn’t irritate

    Katie,

On the subject of oats - are you talking eating them or using them
    topically?!
Let me go on record as saying I hate oatmeal.
And Aveeno makes an oatmeal bath for itching but I have to admit I
have found lavender bath salts more enjoyable.
Okey, to be serious, tell me your theory and the reason behind it.

Ground oats are nature’s perfect cleanser IMO … removing excess oils
without stripping, retaining water, softening, and exfoliating … great for all
skins and non-irritating. Search the archives posts about this.

As mentioned in the previous answer, many articles are in the archives …
this is not a theory in the mental sense, I’ve washed with my oats mix for over
2 years, both for just my face (at the sink) and in the bath. Aveeno baths
are clumpy and messy, where mine absorbs the bathwater well.
