Acne…Yuck!
I’ve tried all the products, I’m in my mid 20’s and yet still I keep
breaking out . I thought it was my allergies, but it wasn’t. What
is the best way to cleanse and clear your face of blemishes…Don’t
mean to spam, but are there any good products out there?
My face is always oily even though I sometimes may wash it 3-5 times
a day. The best way I found to get rid of acne is to tan, and I mean
tan for a while. I guess it dries up the oil glands which is good,
but I don’t want to be constantly tanning do to concerns and risks of
skin cancer. Is there another way to get rid of this acne with any
good cleansers out there, rather than tanning all the time??

Hi Mr … seems like you’re stripping the oils. This does 2 things against
you … creates a demand for your oil glands to produce more oil and hardens
the surface layers of skin that must stay soft in order for the (right amount)
of oils to clear through them.

Correct … some sun is great, but too much damages in same ways the wrong
cleansing (above) does … as well as increases the other risks you mentioned.

I have a 3-part answer for you, so be prepared to do some homework (I’m
really short on time at this moment - sorry) …
(1) Go through the archives where there are many posts about my
oat-milk-sugar mix - how to mix, how to store / use … and even why those
ingredients.
(2) Okay … for the oiliness … fight oil with oil !!! You first have to
trick your skin into believing it has plenty so that it will adjust to producing
less. The best IMO is the one that is most like our sebum / helps dissolve
the matter, helps your skin clear its pores, and softens the outer layers of
skin cells … that is jojoba. A few drops of this rubbed between your palms
and applied to a dirty, oily face prior to cleansing … and left on for a few
minutes (like through your shaving) can make a huge difference.
(3) I have tried another step that has worked for me in the jojoba stage …
I put a drop of cider vinegar in my palm and follow with a few drops of the
jojoba. Being that this is a strong acid, I never leave it on for over 5
minutes … avoid your eye area! I then follow with the oat-milk-sugar to
either
cleanse, scrub, mask, or combine.
After rinsing well, you’ll not feel the same "kind" of clean you’re used to
… HOWEVER, it’s crucial to give this a good chance. If you really need to
rinse a little more oil off (such as I do sometimes when using a bit too much
jojoba), either a little more of the mix or a little bit of a very gentle,
conditioning soap helps.
Good luck - let us know what you think.
