Products you shoudn’t use
Right now I am using Vichy, they have these new products that are suppose to
help skin problems and even out your skin tone. I have been using these
products facial wash, toner and moisturizer which cost me about 60.00$, for the
past 3 weeks. I don’t find I have any big differences but I guess I’ll continue
using them because I haven’t had the really big deep ones lately. The big test
is still to come, once a month my face breaks out badly and then I’ll really
see. I’ll get back to you’s and let you’s know what’s up.

You guys I’ve been reading with concern about the products all of you
are using.Let me give you my two cents worth on products that you
shouldn’t use.
When I first started having minor outbreaks,I started on Clean and
Clear and Oxy Pimple Cream. It worked ok AT FIRST but when my
condition started to worsen, these products didn’t work at
all.Basically,Clean and Clear’s flaw is that it strips off all the
oil from your skin, causing dryness and stimulates your skin to
produce more oil.I really detest the way Clean and Clear markets its
products, claiming that they are "acne cleansers".If they are, they
should work.But they didn’t.
Neutrogena’s products really irk me too.Like Clean and Clear, they
also claim that they are "acne cleansers".However, what sets me off is
that they develop really specialised acne facial washes and dupe
people like us into getting em.I was hoodwinked and got it.Big
mistake! My skin started to peel after washing and my face was
inflammed! The salicylic acid in most acne products do not work for
moderate or severe acne.Maybe they might for mild
conditions.Salicylic acid just dries out your skin.
Also, benzyol peroxide in most pimple creams do not work for moderate
or severe acne. When you apply, what you feel is a painful sensatiion
on the pimples and it hurts like hell!.Like many of you,I’ve been
changing products and have been researching on remedies.
I strongly recommend The Body Shop’s products.I’m currently using its
Tea Tree Oil range of facial, body wash, mattifying moisture gel and
am considering getting the facial scrub and the facial mask soon.It
is clearing up my skin a lot.AS for the pimple cream,I get it from
Nouvelle. It’s a pretty unknown brand and I’m not sure if you can get
it in your country but it works for me! It feels and smells nice!
The Body Shop is a godsend to me.Everything there looks, smells and
feels good.
I think diet and drinking lots of water play a HUGE role.I alter my
diet to something more vegetarian.I do take meat but often white and
rarely red. Also, eat tofu! It’s da best.Avoid fast food like Mcdonalds
or Taco Bell or even fish and chips or steak. Please stay away from
soft drinks like Coke too.Plain water or fruit juice is first-rate.
In my personal opinion,I am not an advocate in taking medication for
acne.Stuff like Accutance,Retin-A well let’s just say that taking too
much meds ain’t good. Also, they do have side effects.
Just make sure you get cleansers with no salicylic acid inside. How to
check? Look at your face after washing and observe any forms of
peeling .If there’s,there’s presence of salicylic acid.I really think
you shouldn’t buy off-the-counter products without shopping
around.Clean and Clear caters to the masses and often the masses
don’t have acne. But what is a skincare brand without acne products?
Thus, these brands try to muscle into the acne skincare market.
If your cleansers, toners are not helping your skin, stop right now and
look for one with natural ingredients. It’s best to go to shops that
sells these sort of stuff than departmental stores or even your
pharmacy.
I hope what I’ve typed will help everyone.I’m an acne-suffer myself
like all of you and one day wish that all of my scars would disappear
and get flawless skin. But take one step at a time eh? Cure the
pimples then get rid of scars.
