dermabrasion

There was a question about dermabrasion…
I had it done back in the ’70’s when I was still
young.
Of couse, technology now is much better than then, but
I was never very happy with the result. Because it
removed the top layer of skin, it changed my skin tone
forever. Some of the scars didn’t disappear, and of
course, I had further acne, thus further scarring.
The procedure made me even more sun sentitvie than I
am, so 10 minutes in the sun, and I have a blazing
burn. I flush much to easily and if you look under
stron light, you see a slight colored demarcation of
the dermabrased skin and the untouched skin.
The procedure did very little as far as I’m concerned.
I’d consult with dermatologists and surgeons to see
how techniques have evolved.
