Skin rash question!

Tuesday, May 24th, 2005

This sounds exactly what happened to me last year. I went to the Dr.
and he quickly said it was ringworm and gave me some cream for it.
Well the cream didnt work at all. I did some research and found that
it was close to Seborrheic Dermatitis. Cortisone worked right away,
but you cant use this for a prolonged period of time. What I have
learned was that the rash would always come back when i used anything
on my face. I had to cut out everything (face wash and even hair gel
and strong shampoos) and now all I do is wash my face with plain
water and wash my hair with Herbal Essences shampoo(all natural).
Happy to say the rash has been gone for over 8 months, plus I have
saved a ton of money. Hope this helps…

Skin rash question!

Tuesday, May 24th, 2005

For the past five months I have has an itchy, scaly red rash on both
of my cheeks. It is about 2" and sometimes looks circular. First I
tried using hydrocortizone 1% and that took care of the itching and
calmed it down untill I thougt it was gone, but as soon as I quit
putting it on it would come right back.I went to the health
department thinking it may be ringworm. They could not tell what it
was because it was not flaired up. They gave me cream for ring
worm . Now it has been 2 weeks and the rash is still itchy and
scally and only seems more dry. Please help me!

orthotricyclin

When I started on Ortho Tricyclen, I saw results in a week or two. I
was broken out really badly before that. Within a month my skin was
really good.

Starch Away / Yasmin

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

I found Starch Away at Target. You can go to Walgreens or GNC and
other stores too. I got the soft chews (40 for $12.99). They also
have pills that are a little more expensive. I’m not really clear on
how it’s supposed to work other than it gets rid of the carbs before
they convert to sugar.

orthotricyclin

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

I just started on orthotricylin and I’m hoping it will help clear up
the ance that seems to fluctuate with my hormones. I was wondering
how long it usually is before you start to see any results of the
pills clearing your complexion, or is it a gradual thing that happens
over many months? Of course I want it to work now, lol, but I guess
I’ll just wait and see! I’d be curious to know other people’s
experiences with it.
Thanks!

DIANE-35 BIRTH CONTROL PILLS

Saturday, May 21st, 2005

Yes, I have friends who have used Diane 35 primarily for their skin. I think it
works because of the estrogen in the pills.

What is starch away and where can you buy it from?

Starch Away / Yasmin

Saturday, May 21st, 2005

Hi, has anyone tried Starch Away? It is supposed to break down the
carbs and get rid of them before they turn to sugar (carbs and sugar
are bad for your skin). I am thinking of getting some and trying it
for next time I have a lot of carbs. I know sugar affects my skin-
wish I could eat all that stuff and not break out (like when I was on
Ortho Tricyclen). I got little pimples that went away really fast, I
wish I could find something that worked like that again.
Has anyone tried Yasmin for a birth control pill? That is supposed
to be a different kind of hormone, and I’m wondering if that works
for acne.
Thanks!

Jill
