Chandrika bar soap Reply
Well Chandrika soap is a natural soap from India. I
actually bought it on a whim when I was buying my
usual spices and supplies from an Indian Store. Its a
combination soap formulated with all natural vegetable
oils. Im not sure of the complete list but, it has
coconut oil
and sandlewood oil to name a few
Its a green bar that costed me 85 cents, (I think its
cheaper at the Indian store than if you buy it from a
natural foods store). The lather is amazing and the
smell is heavenly. What I personally noticed was tha
that it deep cleaned amazingly well yet, left my skin
feeling soft after I used it. When you use it, you
will notice how it feels very good on your skin. Its
hard to describe but, its a soft lather.
I love it and it has made a difference in the amount
of oil that I see on my skin. I tend to carry it
around with me and use it on my face 2-3 times per
day.
If you have any more questions, dont hesitate to
ask..im not an expert..but just a lover of new
products

Hi Natasha, I am curious about this, too …
<<Chandrika soap is … a combination soap formulated with all natural
vegetable
oils.>>
Firstly, the words "all natural" are hype. I make soap and it’s a chemical
process between oils (even pure olive oil has been processed) and sodium
hydroxide ("lye") that is not supposed to have any lye left after this process
is
complete. The lye itself is a chemical and is by no stretch "natural," but is
highly standardized to where we can accurately figure the appropriate amounts
to use.
<<I love it and it has made a difference in the amount of oil that I see on
my skin. I tend to carry it around with me and use it on my face 2-3 times per
day.>>
My only concern at this point is the need to wash 2-3 times daily due to
oiliness. A majority-coconut-oil bar will clean too much of your acid mantle
(aka
"strip" your skin) and the supply-demand nature of skin will call for more
oil.

I’m certain from what you’ve written it has quite a lot of coconut oil, but
surely must have more than sandlewood (your heavenly smell) with it … If you
can find it, please post the ingredient listing (I couldn’t find it on the
online ads).
Thanks.

Hi,
Below is a URL for Chandrika Soap. I just purchased a
bar and have only used it twice. I like how smooth
and soft it made my face feel. Since I have so many
problems with everything I use on my face, I’ll have
to see how this does in a week or so.

I’m interested in purchasing a bar of soap however the website doesn’t offer
an ordering site. How did you go about placing your order?
Thanks

I purchased mine in an Indian grocery store for $1.79. I live in the WDC/MD
area and there are a lot of Indian stores around the area. If you perform a
google search on "chandrika soap" you can find a lot of different sites, some of
these should offer online ordering. Leah
Thanks

I just checked the URL and it’s working. If you click on the "Products" link at
the top of the right-hand side of the page, you can see the individual products
and their ingredients. Leah
