Neosporin…wow!!!

Sunday, July 17th, 2005

First off about the neosporin, that may work well for cystic acne
wounds but if its anything like vaseline and is put on the whole face
it later becomes worse, by adding oil to pores and such. Well at
least if your face is anything like mine.

Hi, I’m 20 and my skin type is: oily with tiny bumps over face
consisting of black heads and white heads that never seem to go away,
my skin is also sensitive. I am considering using tea tree oil or
Proactive after reading a lot of good messages about it. Over the
years I’ve used many masks, cleansers, moisturizers, and toners, some
of which were prescibed that never worked many times making it worse:
retin A/and Micro", differin gel (slightly worked),clearisil,
nutragina, clean and clear, noxema, oxy (caused redness), natures
cure, etc. I also used to pick at them. After seeing that my 18
year old brother, who has the same problem and never used anything

Neutrogena & Rosula!

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Hello All,

I haven’t written in ages, but I thought I’d e-mail to let you know
how things are going.

I have found something that works for me finally :-D At least it
seems to for the time being.

What really works for me, believe it or not, are those Neutrogena
Oil Free Acne Wash cloths…Not the gel in the pump bottle, but the
actual cloths that come in that little box. I have found those work
wonders, and because you gently use them on your face they do some
gentle exfoliation, so all those nasty dead skin cells go away! YAY!

Anyhow, my routine is that I use the neutrogena cloths in the

Over the counter supplements?

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Right now I use Dove soap Fragrence Free. In the past I used Cetaphil as a
cleanser and a moisturizer. (Just wash with it, then pat dry, squirt some more
out and smooth in. It’s nice because when you smooth it in, it doesn’t feel like
anything is on your skin.) If you live in the States, I know that Neutrogena has
a product called Alcohol Free Antiseptic Cleanser. This worked really well for
me when I didn’t have a lot of acne problems. Unfortunately it’s discontinued in
here in Canada. It is made up of a combination of herbal waters, like peppermint
and witch hazel etc which works well on the skin and doesn’t irritate it.
Though, test it out before you use it. You can cleanse first (with the product
or another one) then apply it with a cotton ball. For bad zits, I used to rip
off a little bit of cotton, dunk it in, and leave it on your face over night.
Try to sleep on your back.

Over the counter supplements?

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Annie,
Try Benzac (made by galderma) It works well for me on drying up pimples.
Galderma is the same company that makes differin cream/gel (a perscription acne
medication).
Good luck, and let me know if you also get good results.

OK, I’ve tried almost every facial cleanser known to man. Are there

you?

Have you had your hormones checked? I’m in my late 20’s and have had
PCOS which causes my hormones to fluctuate and produce more
testosterone and acne causing androgens. Hope this helps! Andrea
