make up

Monday, August 29th, 2005

Thanks. Yeh I found it out for myself after buying a bunch of them
at drug stores as well as clinique, which was not worth 22 bucks. I
especially like the one that comes in a touch pad - it’s very light
but smooths your skin out and even out complection - and doesn’t
feel like make-up.

If you want the TRUTH read this…………..

Yeh, I had the same issues with that book. To follow the whole
ruitine, you’d have to spend a s*itload of cash. And I tried most of
it for one month and it didn’t really make a difference. And who
says it’s good to be hooked on all these suppliments? You have to
take like 10 a day and they run out fast and it’s neverending money-
spending. And the way this guy writes is not very credible, there
are so many typos - made me kinda weary. I dunno about other people,
but I felt kinda gypped after buying it.

anyone successfully get rid of acne scars?

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

Hi all,

I’ve used Proactiv for about a year with really good results - no more acne
breakouts,
period. I’m really happy with it. However, I still have scars. The slight
redness doesn’t
bother me as much as the pitting. Makeup doesn’t help and in certain lighting,
it
looks bad. Here’s my question:

Has anyone tried DMAE-Alpha Lipoic-C-Ester serums for scars?

I read about it in The Acne Prescription by Dr. Perricone and he claims that in
clinical
testing, it eliminates of severe scarring (including surgical ones) and gives

Prednisone and acne.slow healing of purple or red spots

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

Does anyone have any advice on ways of accelerating the healing of
pimples or cysts that are dried but not gone. They are still
discolored and having taken prednisone for 7 months for an anatomical
inflamtion, This drug just about ruined what used to be clear skin
with just a little redness. I am 37 and I hadn’t had a pimple in 18
years and after this illness(pericarditis-inflamation of the
pericardium[sac surrounding heart])and cessation of the corticosteroid
(predinisone)I am really bothered(I am a lot more than bothered but I
will refrain from profanity)and screaming mad. Acne was okay when I
was 19 or 20 but I don’t need this now plus I never had a cystic form
before. So if any one has any advice for clearing them up I would
appreciate it. I know a little about diet and nutrition and don’t
really eat anything refined(like tastykakes)or junk food or anything
excessively greasy or oily.Any help would be greatly appreciated

Using Micro-ablation

Sunday, August 28th, 2005

Hello Group,

Any feedback on the medical procedures above? Has anyone used it and
have any feedback?

I have acne scars from back in the days when I was a teenager. I have
come across this procedure to help me. I’m setting an appointment
soon as I’m trying to learn more about it. I am told, that unlike the
more known Microdermabrasion procedure, the Micro-ablation technique
is a non-invasive treatment which exfoliates not by propelling micro-
crystals at high speed across the skins surface to remove superficial
skin layers, but rather by using a created plasma field that is
gently pushed into the epidermis which dissociates skin cells at
molecular level. There is no imbedding of crystals into the skin or
dehydrate the tissue.
