Hello, Im not new but I’ve been a lurker. I am a 40 year old female that
has been fighting with breakouts all my life. After spending a fortune on
products over the years, I fianlly seem to have the breakouts AND blackheads
under controle. I wash my face in the shower 2x a day. At night I use a
couple squirts of Cetephil and in the morning I use a very small amount of
St Ives acne control scrub (sometimes with a little Cetephil. Then use a
topical Erythemycin gel (prescription). If I feel a pimple comming on I
just put a little of the Erythamycin or sometimes a dab of Spike Lavender on
it and it goes away. Also I found that when my face is feeling dry (which
contributes to the irritation causing breakouts I think) I put a little bit
of Biore moisturizer on or a little handmade unscented lotion. Now my
breakouts are small and far far between. It feel so nice for a change to
not be fighting with this so hard.

helo everyone im 21 yrs old female and I get acne allt eh time but
it’s not all over my face i have been using swiss formula and aveeno
products to help get rid of them or be less noticeable.. do any of
you guys have somthig better i can try out without goign to a
dermotolgist?

I just downloaded this e-book from acnecurec.com and read it……I’m
frustrated at all this extra info I have to buy!!! $50 for this info
on "internal cleansing" and $50 for that, etc, etc.

I hate to sound so cynical, but why does this all seem like just
another moneysucking mess?

Just what exactly is this "internal cleansing" I have to do, or do I
have to pay to find THAT out as well?

i was wondering if your cysts left scars, and if proactive helped
with the healing of scars at all. i have been using proactive for a
couple weeks now…in which time i developed a few really big cysts
that don’t seem to be healing correctly..they are leaving some
rolling scars i think. thanks a lot!!

This is a bit over your price but I use bare essentials and it works
well not to break me out. One container is $25 but for me it lasts
forever. If you do a search on google you will find their website.

Hi Andrea,

I shave like once a week and I wash my face with Neutrogena acne face wash. I
use Neutrogena’s multi vitamin acne treatment as a lotion and I dont use a
scrub. Thats it.

Hi. I just want to say to anyone that is having a problem with
cystic acne, here is a reason why I feel that it is horomone related.
I used to have them real bad. I was on birth control pills. Then I
stopped taken them because my husband and I wanted to have a baby.
After many attemps and 4 miscarriges we gave up. You see that was a
few years ago, but And I was an older woman. My doc said it was
because of my age. So I gave up and had not been taken the pill for
about 4 years now. I am not menopusal, but havent been able to get
pregnant either. Funny thing tho, after I stopped taking the pill, my
cystic acne that would occur only on my jaw and chin, went away! I
havent had it in years!
Well, after a few years went by, I recently started haveing weird
periods. Thinking Im pre menopausal, I thought I am going to go back
on the pill and have regular periods instead of crazy unpredictable

I’m an 18 year old male who has been a sufferer of facial, chest and
back acne since age 15. It’s still bad, depite having tried
dermatologist prescribed drugs such as Isotretenoin, Doxycycline and
Tetracycline (of cos with some lotion/cream/wash). These either
worked for the first few weeks or didn’t worked at all. I just
started using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and Neutrogena Clear
Pore Treatment nighttime pore claryfying gel yesterday. If I don’t
see any difference by the third week, I guess I’ll just try other
products. Oh well … Having acne really sucks like crazy.

Hi,
I have never had a problem with acne on my face!!! All the way
through school I might of got one here and there. When I was
pregnant all 4 times, I got one here and there as well. Nothing to
worry with. Now I am 25 years old and I have acne on my chin and
around my mouth. I can hide it with concealers, but then it looks
nastier to me. I only wear make up when I go places and thats rare,
I tried tea tree oil, I tried acne creams and all the cleaners at
the stores. Nothing is Working!!! I am to old to be going through
this. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to help get
rid of it??? Either/ OR would work, I am desperate!!!!
