adult acne

Thursday, August 18th, 2005

Hi,
I never had acne growing up, i started getting it about a year ago,
I am 25 now. It is only on my chin and sround my mouth, more so on
the sides of my mouth. I am scared it will spread. I do not
understand why it waited til I was half way in my 20’s to get me. If
anyone can help me find a way to get rid of it, I would greatly
appreciate it. And does anyone know why it didn’t come sooner, like
in my teens!
Thanks,
Andrea

Thank you hi. I think you might have a
sensetivity to benzol peroxide. some of my clients cant use it. The
retinol will dry you out and make you peel. Try the benzol in only
one spot. If you get a reaction, you are probably sensetive to it.
dont use it look for an alternative. Hope you find something that
works for you.

Brown Acne Scars–(home remedies?)

Wednesday, August 17th, 2005

I have brown scars from acne and it takes forever for it to go away.
Any home remedies? Any inexpensive products that have helped others?
I’d love to hear what has worked for YOU!
Thanks, Dondi

make up

I’m not a distributor, but I wanted to tell you what my favorite
makeup I’ve found is. I have extremely oily, acne-prone, and scarred
skin. Mary Kay’s medium coverage is able to hold off the oil for a
bit longer than any other makeup I’ve found. The colors are a bit
more natural-looking than other brands I’ve tried, also. It’s
supposed to be noncomedogenic (doesn’t cause acne), and I find that I
have as many pimples as when I don’t wear than I do, so I know it’s
not the makeup’s fault. I think it’s about $14 for a tube and lasts
awhile.

Just my two cents.

I have found Neutrogena Skin Clearing oil-free make-up works for me. It retails
for about $ 8.00. It also contains 0.5% Salicylic Acid which helps dry up
existing blemishes.

Out in the sun..

Monday, August 15th, 2005

I am not sure if anyone can help me on this one. But I have acne
skin and very light skin. Any exposure to the sun gives me
hyperpigmentation. I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible
but we have a boat and camper that we are always using in the
summer. Any alternative so I do not get these dark spots on my
face. I have tried sunscreens and hats but nothing works. Thanks.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. said Friday it won
U.S. approval to sell an injectable gel for temporarily filling
facial wrinkles.

The injection is made from hyaluronic acid, a complex sugar found in
all living organisms.

Medicis’ treatment, called Restylane, is approved in more than 60
countries and is manufactured by Sweden’s Q-Med AB.

An FDA (news - web sites) spokeswoman said the agency has not yet
taken action on a competing product, called Hylaform, under
development by Inamed Corp. and Genzyme . Hylaform has been on the
market in Europe since 1996 and is sold in 30 countries.

Hi all. Has anybody found a make up that doesn’t make them break
out? I have a very sensitive oily acne-prone skin. And I don’t want
to spend more than 20 bucks on it.
