Acne Has Nothing to Do with Diet – WRONG!!!!

I understand, I TOTALLY agree with the fact that there are several
components that cause a person to break out. Honestly though I’ve
never heard of people with non-oily(dry, normal) skin having ANY sort
of acne. EVERY topic, story, that "I’ve", read or researched reads
like this:
"Acne is a skin condition that occurs due to the overproduction of
oil by the oil glands of the skin. The oil that normally lubricates
the skin gets trapped in blocked oil ducts and results in what we
know as pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads on the surface of skin.
Sometimes it also includes deeper skin lesions that are called cysts."

The common factor is majorly oily skin. So if you have dry skin,
there has to be something more going on, because OIL is what the
bacteria feeds on and it is what get trapped to cause inflamation.
Maybe you have senstive skin, which when using certain products cause

My Conclusions on Acne

Sunday, October 30th, 2005

Good Morning All. I hope everyone is doing great and still hanging in
there. I was doing some research and came up with some helpful info.
Now I know genetics plays a part in this however it is as far as when
it comes to our skin type (Normal, Oily, Combo skin). However, I
don’t think that just because we inherited oily skin from our family,
we will necessarily get acne. It just so happens that because we
inherited oily skin, we’re more PRONE to getting acne. But that’s
just ONE of the 3 compontents that make up the reason we can
breakouts. It’s not JUST the oily skin, b/c there are people with
oily skin, but don’t break out. Just check out the research I’ve done.

proactive’s other products

hi gummymellows:

I have tried all their ‘other’ products! From their sunscreen
(SPF15) to their powder, concealer, etc., and I can say that you are
better off just buying oil free products (or Almay makes their
powder with salicylic acid) at a drug store. They don’t necessarily
do better than those, seriously, and they are so expensive!

As for Pola, I can understand why your facial lady said that because
Pola’s makeup can break people out because it contains titanium
dioxide (actually many cosmetics do). For some reason some people
have reactions to this particular ingredient(I don’t–I use Pola’s
foundation cakes and am fine with them).

I didn’t try the anti-dandruff shampoo (I don’t have that

Fading blemishes and scars away - my journey

Saturday, October 29th, 2005

Hi Shivani!

The sheet pack white really works too, and it’s not too bad for 60
sheets. That set I mention is a better deal than buying Spots Clear
separately because for the same price you are getting the toner and
the masks. My freckles from past sun damage have faded already. For
my acne scars, all that is left is those 2 persistant dots that are
fading gradually with religious use.

I also used Regene to shrink my pores–they have this silk whitening
mask that is made with 100% silk. Joseibi.com doesn’t sell this yet
though, I have asked and they said they may sell this later on. That
actually lighten my face a bit too, and the texture is light (it’s
made in Japan too). I also tried SKII but while it made my skin a
lot smoother, it didn’t ‘whiten’. It was very expensive too!

Acne Has Nothing to Do with Diet – WRONG!!!!

ITA!!!

I have switched to a mostly vegetarian diet, no meat and have
noticed my complexion got a lot clearer. The oriental medicine
believes that meat contains a lot of toxins (esp. when poultry/cows
are killed in a terrible way, it created a lot of stress and their
bodies released toxins/hormones which you end up eating), so when
your body is full of toxins, your skin reflects what’s within. I
completely believe that.

Acne Has Nothing to Do with Diet – WRONG!!!!

"Standard dogma from your medical doctor is that your oily skin and
acne have nothing to do with the foods you eat. Next time you hear
this message, ask for the evidence. You will find this learned
professional speechless and almost empty-handed , because this
incorrect information dates back to a single article published by Dr.
James Fulton in the Journal of the American Medical Association
almost 35 years ago (in 1969). Furthermore, the results of this
study have been justly criticized and effectively discounted for more
than 25 years. Still countless millions suffer needlessly.
Dr. Fulton studied 30 adolescents (14 girls and 16 boys)
attending an acne clinic and 35 young adult male prisoners with mild
to moderate acne. The Chocolate Manufacturers Association of America
provided the study with two kinds of candy bars – one with and one
without chocolate. Both bars were made mostly of fat and sugar and
had similar amounts of calories (557 to 592 calories per bar). The

Acne Has Nothing to Do with Diet – WRONG!!!!

Hey guys, I’m new here, however I’ve been suffering with breakouts
like the rest of you. I’ve had acne for 10 years, since I was 13. I’m
22 now, and I must admit that me getting older has calmed it down a
lot, however now I’m not so sure it was because of my age. I believed
it was due to me changing what I ate. I don’t care what doctor or
scientist tells you that diet doesn’t affect your skin….being an
acne suffer and doing experiments with diet changes, DON’T BELIEVE
THEM!!! Just think, we’ve all been there, we’ve been to the drug
stores, the dermatologists, we’ve tried EVERY kind of fash wash,
cream, potion, drugs, and low and behold we STILL have acne! After
years and year of struggling with this, something clicked in my head,
that ‘hey there has to be something more to acne than what’s on the
outside’. So I started doing massave research and came
across ‘natural’ solutions. I started learning that
the ‘crap’(because honestly that’s what it is) that we put into our
