Fading blemishes and scars away - my journey
I’m 30, had bad acne as a teenager and thanks to ignorant relatives,
they got me using Ivory hand soap to wash my face, saying that will
cure pimples. Of course it didn’t work–it got much worse. I lived
with that until I discovered Proactiv in my mid twenties. It was a
miracle product but it severely dried out my skin. Now I am pimple
free (except around my period there’s one or two flareup but very
minor and go away naturally), but I have 4 - 5 acne scars, 2 that
are very visible.
I’ve been trying different products. I tried exfoliating products
and they didn’t work for me, since they all contain AHA and my face
got all red and sensitive.
Now with all the skin whitening products from Japan and Korea, I
decided to try. I tried some lower end shiseido whitening products
(Whitia)–they didn’t really lighten but were very good skincare
products. I learned from the Amore (Korean brand) salesperson and
she said that to get rid of the scars, I must use ‘treatment’
products, meaning the intensive ones.
I browsed online to look for intensive treatment products. Found
Pola’s White Shot Spots Clear and it was really pricey. But I am
just 5 spots away from a perfect complexion, so I didn’t care. I
splurged…bought it on a cdn site called joseibi.com for cdn $150
(got free shipping too) for 20g. It claims to remove freckles, age
spots, acne scars, etc. in a couple of months. I was concerned
because it has alcohol in it, but I also did some research and it
says that alcohol is essential to ‘deliver’/penetrate the
ingredients. So I am somewhat relieved.
So I have 2 spots that are dark, the other 3 aren’t too dark (but
noticeable). I applied it twice a day to all 5 spots. After one
week, the 3 that weren’t dark before became almost invisible. The 2
dark spots somehow faded a little–just a little.
I’d been using it for 2 months now, right on the mark, the 2 spots
are now much lighter and the 3 were gone. I was pretty impressed by
it and decided to buy the entire line (i think it’s called
whitissimo). I just want to say that there is hope out there! also,
get the ‘treatment’ product, not the regular regimen if you are
serious about getting rid of those spots. I spent $150 on the
treatment but before that, spent even more on different products
that didnt’ work. so that’s my story! ![]()
