clear factor?!?!?

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

i heard its got the same active ingredient, 2.5% benzoyal peroxide. i thought
about trying it, but only after my free trial with proactiv is up. did you know
you can buy the entire clear factor kit on ebay for half the retail cost?

anybody heard of microbrasion cloth?

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

The $300, I believe, is only one treatment. Most of us don’t have that sort of
money! The $50 mini kit I found over Christmas at Target. Ulta still sells
something similar but for more money (mine cost $99 from Ulta).

You can check these out for an idea, but you can do an internet search for
different prices.

with the microdermabrasion cloth and/or mini kit, they will both give you
similar results. what it does is speed up exfoliation process of the epidermis,
leaving your skin with a rosy pink glow. this will disappear in a few days and
you’ll have to exfoliate again. in due time, the acne scars will become
smoother and eventually disappear. it could take months to a year, or more,
depending on the severity of the scars.

if you cannot afford $300 professional job, i’d highly recommend the ~$10

Hello!

Friday, October 21st, 2005

Hi everyone,
I’m new here to this group. I think it’s very cool for people to
share stuff like this. well, i’m Gabbie, i’m 14yrs old. And I have
Acne. Uhh I hate it. It’s tough for me to get rid of it. I have acne
on my forehead, cheeks, chin and blackheads on my nose. I’ve tried OTC
stuff and it doesn’t work that well. I have scars all over the place.
Is there a way I could get rid of them or just make them less visible?

The best skin care system out there is by Artistry!

They have a dry skin, oily skin and sensitive skin system.

It has 3 pieces: cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

The cost is about $59.00 for all 3 pieces.

Is the $300 just one treatment? Also, where do you get the $50 mini-dermabrasion
kit? Thanks!

with the microdermabrasion cloth and/or mini kit, they will both give you
similar results. what it does is speed up exfoliation process of the epidermis,
leaving your skin with a rosy pink glow. this will disappear in a few days and

depending on the severity of the scars.

if you cannot afford $300 professional job, i’d highly recommend the ~$10
cloths or ~$50 mini microdermabrasion kit.

good luck!

Fading blemishes and scars away - my journey

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Ok, my ‘journey’ to clear skin is as follows:

I’m 30, had bad acne as a teenager and thanks to ignorant relatives,
they got me using Ivory hand soap to wash my face, saying that will
cure pimples. Of course it didn’t work–it got much worse. I lived
with that until I discovered Proactiv in my mid twenties. It was a
miracle product but it severely dried out my skin. Now I am pimple
free (except around my period there’s one or two flareup but very
minor and go away naturally), but I have 4 - 5 acne scars, 2 that
are very visible.

I’ve been trying different products. I tried exfoliating products
and they didn’t work for me, since they all contain AHA and my face
got all red and sensitive.

ProActive

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

I used Proactiv for 2 years. Initially it made my skin very red for
a few days (due to sensitivity to benzoyl peroxide), but after that
it settled. However, my skin has since become really dry (though
pimple free now). I think only when you have very bad acne, you
should only spot treat your zits instead of putting acne treatment
all over your face. Overall Proactiv did work for me, but way too
drying.
