ProActive

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005

I suppose proactiv just works differently for different people. When
i started using it, I broke out for a couple days, but then I once I
was consistent I could definately see a difference and my skin
started to improve.

Anyone Try Red or Blue Light Therapy?

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

i did clearlight~ mine was 125 per treatment and i have never heard
or read anyone say that u cant use clearlight cuz ur asian. i
personally had no problems with it in terms of discoloration or
spotting. ive seriously researched thoroughly before doing clearlight
and thought this was the one…but turns out that u had to do at
least 8 times to get the effect…recommended twice a week i finished
the treatment in 5 weeks (spent 1000 for a package of ten meetings)
>.< so very freakin expensive…and that wasnt the end of it
either…you had to go there every few weeks later to do maintenance.
this is a very costly treatment. it seemed to work…i started to
improve in less than two weeks…but then it didnt look so great
after the 5th week. just an expensive treatment i think. my friend
works as an intern where i went and she said some got great results.
i cant afford to spend more money on something that doesnt work
completely. i dont kno about the red light therapy tho.

black heads

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

Hey you
Have you tried aromatherapy steam? ( or just fill a bowl with very
hot water, pour a few drops of lavender oil in it and sit with a
towel over your head for about ten minutes )use two cottonpads (not
your fingers!) and get the blackheads out! Rinse with cold water.
Good luck…

everyone
its so good to finally find a group like this.
i need some help
i have very small acne on my cheeks, chin, and on my forehead very
few of them have pus. Also i have uneven skin tone all over my face ,
big pores on my cheeks and blackheads on my nose.
i used to go to a skin specialist who used to do some facials which
was basically forcing out the acne then aplying electric current and
some kind of suction……..
it really helped me and my skin was all free of acne and was smooth
and shiny…but since i stopped going there my problem is back again
should i go to a dermatologist or a skin treatment center.
Also is there is way to find a good dermatologist or skin treatment
center in California.

Anyone Try Red or Blue Light Therapy?

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

I read up on Clearlight which is a lamp of red and blue light. Red clears scars
and blue
kills bacteria. Costs about $800 for a set of 8 treatments over a couple of
weeks and each
treatment consists of sitting under a lamp for about 20 minutes. It’s supposed
to last for
about 8 months. Well, I went to a dermatologist and they said I couldn’t do it
cause I’m
asian and my skin is too dark. It would burn me. I guess it’s only for white
people (by the
way, all those laser, chemical, and abrasion treatments are only for white
people too.
pretty weird how no one’s ever mentioned that). Then I went to another doctor
and he had
an Omnilux light which is only red and said I didn’t need blue cause blue’s just

Hi,

I found this group and thought I could do some good. I am affiliated
with a skin care product but hey if you don’t say hello then you
never know if you could have helped.

People with sensitive skin often struggle the most as nothing works
for them and often makes matters worse.

The premise for creating Acne Statin 30 years ago was in fact because
I was in the same situation.

If the moderator allows this post, at the very least I can offer my
web site as a potential resource.
