Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Wow, I’m so happy to have found this group. A group that isn’t full
of advertisements, porn and spam, but helpful tips for what the list
is about!!!

Anyway, I’m so happy to have found this group and I’ll be looking
forward to hearing what all works for everyone and what doesn’t work.
Oh (sorry to be so long winded) but what about vitamins. I was
reading an article last week about vitamins that were good. So I
went out and bought a multi-vitamin, zinc, B6 and B12. I’ve only
been taking them for a week, so I don’t notice any change.

Thanks!

Angela

Hey y’all

I’ll give a more formal and polite intro later but now I gotta get away from
this computer before I go nuts….

Basically my life can be summed up by this fact: my pores and blackheads get
really visible once a month when there’s a full moon‹no kidding. (Stress?
Hormones? Wha?) Anyway I’ve tried salicylic acid and Stridex and retinol and
benzoyl peroxide and scrubbing like crazy….

More later peeps

garlic

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

I read somewhere, that applying honey is also good for pimples, i mean good for
getting rid of them of course, and there’s this, honey, cinamon mask, anyway
I’m not sure about that one, my mom read it somewhere, anyway personally
I haven’t tried it, but honey should work good though.

anyone tried dermalogica?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

i bought a whole kit from dermalogica cuz my facial lady told me to
buy the anti bac skin wash from there….turns out a lot of
celebrities use it (but they dont have problems like i do!!!)
ive used it only twice and so far i like it. i bought a small kit
including the lotion and toner spray…the cleanser is nice, like
minty…
i spent a lot of money on it too…the kit is smaller than proactive
so it is waaay more expensive in the long run… *sigh*…i hope this
works…i think im going to take accutane next month…

Hi my name is Jen. I am 25 and still suffer from acne. mine is the adult
hormonal problem kind that i cant seem to find relief from. the best i can do is
have like 2 or 3 days a month that are semi good. so i decided to join this
group in search of some advice and share advice about acne. its a problem
for millions of people and perhaps someday there will be a cure!! : )

stubborn acne

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

I use Cetaphil, and it doesn’t irritate my skin, of course. It’s so
gentle, though, that I don’t feel like my skin is actually getting
cleaned. I have oily skin, and Cetaphil feels slimy and oily. It
reduces the redness in my face, but, again, my face doesn’t feel
clean. I still use it, though.
I switched to Clean and Clear’s Daily Pore Cleanser for those days
where my face feels really dirty and oily. It works very well (it
doesn’t make me break out, and my skin feels so clean afterwards),
and I think the combination of both of these has helped greatly in
reducing my acne. I’ve found that most cleansers with "beads"
actually aggravates my acne–my Mary Kay consultant said that the
beads can actually move the bacteria from one spot to another–but
the C&C doesn’t do it to my skin.

Benzoyl Peroxide

Saturday, November 26th, 2005

Hi.
If benzoyl peroxide irritates your skin, you could opt for salicylic
acid; it’s present in many over-the-counter acne medications
(dandruff, too). I think its main attack is to slough off dead skin
cells and other debris so they don’t block pores. It may kill some
bacteria, too–I don’t remember.
Just a thought. :)
