Benzoyl Peroxide
Hi.
If benzoyl peroxide irritates your skin, you could opt for salicylic
acid; it’s present in many over-the-counter acne medications
(dandruff, too). I think its main attack is to slough off dead skin
cells and other debris so they don’t block pores. It may kill some
bacteria, too–I don’t remember.
