I just got off Amnesteen (Isotretinoin). My skins is wonderful. It’s
been almost a month, it’s not as dry as it used to be, the top layer
began to recover since it falls off on the medication. I hope it will
stay like that. If it gets oilier, I will get on B5. That helped but
not completely. In the beginning on Amnesteen, I felt a little weird.
The first 2 weeks I was tired and had very clear dreams. After that,
though, it all went away. Now I am happy. I just got my first
compliment that my skin looks very young. It was really weird. People
would never comment on it before. Anyway…I would highly recommend
it despite all the weird stuff they say about it. It’s the only thing
that really helped me. Wearing makeup all day without smothering, not
putting tons of junk on my face, and showing off my back are the best
parts. I love it!

Benzoyl Peroxide

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

If you experience any issues with benzoyl peroxide, it is likely that the
Proactiv won’t make
them any better. If you know you can’t take BP (your skin gets red, inflamed,
irritated after
use), don’t buy anything with BP. Look at the active ingredient of something
before you buy it.
It’s not a bad thing, just some people have more sensitivity than others when it
comes to acne
meds.

if anyone is allergic to the high dosage of 2.5% benzoyal peroxide, then perhaps
you could try a lower dosage, or skip it all together.

This works for me

I have had acne for 16 years and nothing worked until I did some research
myself.

I take B5,MSM, and vitamin C this really slows down the oil production.

Lay off the greasy food and cut down on the white sugar.

For my skin I use Apple cider vinegar and Chandrika soap.

This is a cheap method with no side affects.

Good luck i worked for me

Hey

I am 23 too and honestly I do not think it is abnormal to get acne at
this age … I hv thesame prob of acne on my face (little) and on the
top part of my back. (and acne blemish too)

I have tried Neutrogena blemish control spray and that has helped them
reduce a little. I also use the astringent and noticed that has helped
a little too. I use a sponge for scrubbing my back, a loofah and use
olay soap (for sensitive skin).

for my face, I do a face steam at home once in 10 dys and then use a
face pack of sandalwood+clay (multani mitti). and that has REALLY
helped a lot.

Hi Bella,

I have it too, and I’m 25. I’ve been using Proactiv for my face and Phisoderm
Acne Body Wash for my chest and back. They both work well for me.

I’ve tried many acne products, topical and internal, since I was 12. My mother
and I spent thousands of dollars on myself. None of which worked.

You can try those for less; Proactiv face wash and lotion together run about
$25, and Phisoderm about $5. Good luck!

Hi all. I am new here. This seems like a pretty cool club. I’m a
23 year old female and I’m an ex-stripper and I am planning on going
back in, but I have an acne problem that I think is abnormal for
someone my age. I get it on my face and some on my back. Any
suggestions for my issue?
