Dear Alison,
I didin’t even realize that I forgot to explain what an esthetician is…and
don’t worry as most people don’t know either. An esthetician is a licensed
professional that studies just skin. Once you are finished with your education
you can work in spas, medical offices or have your own skin care
practice…which is what I did. However, I also work for a plastic surgeon and
the LexLi aloe product line. I have been educated more by attending advanced
classes on chemical peels and am also a trainer with a microdermabrasion
company. We are like skin care nurses and have a very extensive knowledge on
skin care.

Hello everyone,
Joani Skaare here, licensed esthetician, and I just wanted to say
thank you for all of the replys. I have to be out of town until
this Saturday (Oct. 2) and will not be able to respond until
Sunday. Please keep the posts coming as I will answer everyone’s
