SheerCover Works But Is Messy

Sunday, December 25th, 2005

Hi,

I don’t know a lot about Sheer Cover, but I do have a suggestion for
you. If you don’t use moisturizer, try it. Your face may be drier
than you think, so the powder doesn’t stick well enough. If you do
use a moisturizer, try minimizing the amount you use or just stop
altogether; your face may be too wet.

If that doesn’t work, then try some sort of primer (not foundation;
there are products that you put on before makeup that keeps it from
sinking into your pores and so it doesn’t smear).

Good luck!
Dianne

What Works To Clear Acne?

Where do you live?

What do you wash your face with?

What do you wash your clothes with?

What do you eat that you think may cause the problems?

What have you stopped eating and still have the problems?

Do you touch your face with your hands?

Do you smoke?

Does someone you live with smoke?

Hi,

This is what I do daily, and it seems to be working,
so you might want to give it a try.

Morning: I wash my face with cetaphil then use
dickinson’s astringent with witch hazel then apply
alpha hydroxy lotion. you can wear makeup after
applying the lotion.

Night Time: I wash my face with clinique rinse off
foaming cleanser to get the make up off then I use St.
Ive’s medicated apricot scrub. Afterwards, I wash
with cetaphil again just to make my skin softer. I
know, I use so many face wash! But it seems to be

SheerCover Works But Is Messy

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

Dear LeLee,
I am a professional esthetician and checked out the Sheer Cover makeup you spoke
of. So far it is right on the money for being a good foundation due to the fact
it is mineral based. Mineral based makeup is actually healthy for the skin and
works very well.

There is another issue we need to address and that is the condition of the skin
you have in the first place. Makeup can be beautiful but if it is applied to
skin that is out of balance it will look messy, etc. From your posting I am
guessing you aren’t using any type of chemical exfoliant. That is the key.
When you think about it…if your makeup is getting all over people it isn’t
sticking to your face and the reason it isn’t doing that is because it is
sticking to dead skin or keratin.

If you used a chemical exfoliant it would get rid of all of the dead skin that

SheerCover Works But Is Messy

Saturday, December 24th, 2005

I ordered sheercover about a month ago because I needed something to
cover my bumps and black marks until I got rid of them, I saw on
T.V. how much it worked especially how it covered dark spots, bumps,
redmarks and etc… and how it was also good for women of color. It
seemed wonderful and I knew I had to try it because I am 19 now but
I’ve been having acne since 13. I know Im a cute person but the acne
I feel sometimes covers that. Well, Anyway, I ordered It to see if
it worked, it does cover a lot but and it’s light powdered makeup
which is True..But it’s messy because when I hug my boyfriend or
relatives and I see especially if they got a white shirt on, that
the powder goes on the shirt, and I have to keep apologizing to
them. I don’t put to much on my skin, so why does this happen? I
follow the whole directions on how to put it on as well. Does anyone
here use Sheercover? If so, does this happen to you?

Dear Alison,
I didin’t even realize that I forgot to explain what an esthetician is…and
don’t worry as most people don’t know either. An esthetician is a licensed
professional that studies just skin. Once you are finished with your education
you can work in spas, medical offices or have your own skin care
practice…which is what I did. However, I also work for a plastic surgeon and
the LexLi aloe product line. I have been educated more by attending advanced
classes on chemical peels and am also a trainer with a microdermabrasion
company. We are like skin care nurses and have a very extensive knowledge on
skin care.

Hope this helps answer your questions and please, anyone, feel free to email me
personally with your issues and I will try my best to give some advice.

Sincerely,

I don’t know about the rest of the group but I’m so sick of the
insurance company saying that this is a cosmetic problem. This is
medical dag gone it!!! I bet if they had constant cystic acne or acne
all over their cheeks etc that they would want treatment. Its an
infection in the skin for crying out loud. I’m not asking for a face
lift which by the way my insurance will pay for eye lid lifts but can I
get acne treatment?????? No!!!!!
Sorry just pretty darn ticked here.

Hi Shelley and Joani,

This is pretty much what I used to have in my teens and twenties,
although I also had white compacted lumps of sebum which used to
come out with the blood. Joani is right that antibiotics will help.
Also be careful about squeezing them as I got severe scarring from
this and am seeking to get laser resurfacing for that damage. I
think it may be caused by an hormonal imbalance thing. You might
try getting onto some type of birth control pill or HRT as that
worked for me. Wish I had known sooner though.

Good luck with your search for treatment, I know how horrible it can
be :-((

All the best,
