Don’t listen to slogans and doctors
Joane,
I want to make a roll on zit zapper type of medication for myself and
my teenage son.
I have bought similar items from other companies and thought with my
herbs, essential oils and other ingredients I could come up with
something on my own. I do make my own facial lotion, retin A cream and
facial wash so I wanted to try a spot treatment. I have on hand
salicylic acid, vitamin A, vitamin P, vitamin E, allantoin, jojoba oil,
shea oil, olive oil and many more oils.
My pan was to only use jojoba oil because I know from my research that
it doesn’t clog your pores. I’ve seen other spot treaters that also
contain alcohol but I want to leave this out of my recipe because its so
drying.
From what I’ve been researching on the proper usage of salicylic acid it
should be used at no more than 2%.
I also have glycolic acid on hand. (I used to do facials in a spa but
am now disabled this is how I get these ingredients)
Anyway, I’ve never made a glycolic peel but wanted to make one for
myself so that is another question I have. What percentage is best to
start with and what would be the best carrier oil for the glycolic acid?
Also can I add Lavender EO to the glycolic peel or wouldn’t it matter?
I hope you can understand what I’m asking here lol I think I may have
confused you and myself lol
