Reply to Breaking out at age 30

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Hi Ladies

I am slightly older than you ladies but broke out with Rosecea and
also have experienced slight adult acne in the past. (Why I am not
sure). Anyway ..I thought I’d pass along some helpful info.

If you will review the previous posts … Gina Martinez has an
article titled "The Science of Beautiful Skin" she offered to email
anyone who wants to read it.

I have read the article and it is written by an Internal Medical
Doctor — Dr. Ruthie Harper.

Dr Harper herself developed adult acne in her late 30’s. She is an
internal medicine doctor who focuses on health and wellness. She

When do men grow out of whiteheads?

Monday, February 27th, 2006

I don’t think the zits are related to shaving- they come out above the shave
line - they’re
basically the same zits I’ve gotten since I was a teenager. You know, little red
spots that
eventually get filled with the white stuff - puss. Never very big and they only
last a few
days.

It’s like post-puberty acne that people tend to grow out of. But I’m 29 and I
thought I’d
outgrow them by now. Anyone know the average age that people grow out of these
zits?
Maybe in another five years? My parents have perfectly clear skin and I know
that genetics
plays a part.

I get these small, yet persistant whiteheads around my goatee area
and occasionally on my cheeks. Anyone know the average time that men
grow out of this sort of thing? The zits are very superficial - no
cysts or anything.

Thanks,

JEFF! (29 years old)

Do you shave your goatee area? It could be from shaving. Something about
ingrown hairs or some such thing.

My Holistic Approach

you could also add going to sleep an hour earlier than usual. i found this
helped me the most. now i try to be in bed around 10.30 - the more sleep you get
the more time your body has to repair the damage that was done during the day.
just stop drinking water about an hour or two before you go to bed, so that you
won’t be rushing back and forth to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
another tip you might want to try is using a salycic acid zit cream and benzoyl
peroxide zit cream.

Hey Beauties,

I find that when I follow a holistic approach to caring for my skin,
as well as a simple cleansing regimen, my skin stays clear and I feel
good overall- mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Here is my routine:

I just have personal questions about breaking out at age 30. Always on my face
between my eyebrows and it is uneasy. I thought maybe someone might be having
the same problem or been through the same issues. I never had trouble skin until
now. So it is just a way for me to understand whats happening.
