Help with blackheads
Lisa,
Aaack! Stop! I did that and now I have lovely scars. I know it’s hard not
to but believe me, its worse in the long run. Have you tried Biore Strips?
They are those paper strips you put on your face that "rips" out the
blackheads. They work better on the nose than the chin, though. When I was
young I used to squeeze the pores on my nose all the time and now I have
HUGE pores. Don’t mess with it unless it’s a big whitehead.

Hi,
I have conquered all the zits I used to get and at first glance, I have
really clear skin. But, there are blackheads in my nose, on my chin and just
above my nose on my forehead (my T zone). I have tried absolutely everything
there is to try if it is available over the counter at any store within 50
miles of my house. Still they are there. I have become obsessed with them
lately. My husband thinks it’s like some sort of compulsion. I will spend
literally hours a night in the bathroom squeezing and picking my face. I get
lots of them out everynight, but it isn’t really doing me any good. If
squeezing and picking did any good, I would be free of them by now. The only
thing I accomplish by doing this is making the skin on my nose peel and the
skin on my chin feel sore and irritated. I am going to totally ruin myself
if I don’t find some sane way to get them out of my face. I can’t get anyone
in my family to really think it’s a big deal, they all say they can’t even
see them. But believe me, they are there. When they come out, they are white
to off-white and have a paste like texture. Some are fat and some are
skinny. They are all totally disgusting to me.
I would appreciate if anyone could give me some advice. I always had
perfect skin as a teenager, when I should have been going through this. I
have gotten bad only as an adult.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Hi,
That is hard, when you job takes so much out of you and it shows on your
skin! Unfortunately, like everything in life their is usually no short,
easy
way to good health. I really like the advice that _yoganinja@aol_
(mailto:yoganinja@aol) gave about eating right, exercing, and
de-stressing, and daily
face care. Those are the foundations for health and healthy skin.
There is only one shortcut that I know of that can help you with the
"eating
right" part. Like most of us, I’m sure its almost impossible for you to
eat
the recommended 9-11 fruits and vegetables a day. The supplement that
my
doctor recommended actually takes 17 fruits and vegetables, juices and
dehydrates them, and puts them in a capsule. This has done wonders for
my skin.
Write me if you want more info.
