My Holistic Approach

you could also add going to sleep an hour earlier than usual. i found this
helped me the most. now i try to be in bed around 10.30 - the more sleep you get
the more time your body has to repair the damage that was done during the day.
just stop drinking water about an hour or two before you go to bed, so that you
won’t be rushing back and forth to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
another tip you might want to try is using a salycic acid zit cream and benzoyl
peroxide zit cream.

Hey Beauties,

I find that when I follow a holistic approach to caring for my skin,
as well as a simple cleansing regimen, my skin stays clear and I feel
good overall- mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Here is my routine:

1)Eat a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables, grains, beans,
and occasionally animal protein. I avoid sweets, white flour, dairy,
and junk foods.

2)Drink lots of purified water daily

3)Take one tablespoon of healthy oil twice a day- I like Udo’s Choice
(available at health food stores), but any supplemental flax oil,
organic preferably, will do. It tastes nasty, so I recommend using
orange juice to chase it down.

4)Use a juicer to extract juice from leafy greens like collards,
kale, and chard- drink one cup of green juice diluted with apple
juice every night. The apple juice masks the nasty, alkaline taste of
the green juices.

5)Take three capsules of acidophilus after drinking the green juice

6)Take a homeopathic acne supplement- I like Nature’s Choice and Acne
Pill, look online or in your healthfood store to find one that jives
with you

7)Take an herbal supplement that’s meant to detox your system- go to
your healthfood store and find one in the herb pill section. I
personally like taking acne ease.

8)Partake in yoga, aerobics, and meditation- if you have a calm mind,
this will work wonders on your complexion

9)for cleansing, I use a simple cleanser like Neutrogena followed by
plenty of 10% benzoyl peroxide zit cream spread in a thin layer all
over the face.

Hope this works for you! It’s a total-body approach and takes time
to kick in, at least a few weeks, but if you stick to it
consistently, you will definately see multiple benefits aside from a
healthy complexion.

Namaste,
EC
