dr. perricone’s prescription

Hi Maya!

I too, did have problems taking antibiotics. Well Everyone told me Accutane was
a wonderful antibiotic and it worked so perfect. Its all wrong.

About the Vitamin A Tablets I use. Its not 30 IU. Its ‘30.000 IU.’ Chewable
dragees. One Tablet a day.

Higher Doses of Vitamin A are not good for you if your pregnant. Just writing
this down incase if anyone forgets!

I really don’t know why people say stay away from the sun. However I guess
everyone has different types of Skin. However the SUN has seriously helped my
skin. It dried out my spots. Now due to winter, I do not get to see the
sunshine, my skin does not sweat and therefore when my spots started again, I

took those Vitamin A tablets and also the Vitamin E cream and Aloe Vera Oil. By
the way my skin is very very dry!

I heard perspiration on the body and face, helps to eliminate acne. When your
skin perspires, it takes out all the impurities from your pores and thusit
leaves your skin clean.

To be honest I don’t exercise a lot. I’m a couch potato and I work at a place
where I must sit my butt on a chair all day long. I don’t walk and My body does
not perspire which is bad!

Its good that your body perspires, sit in the sun for 15 mins, use natural
herbal stuff on the face, take vitamin A, Don’t forget the green Tea. Its best
for every skin problem. Cutt of sugary stuff from your diet!

Yes I have heard that breaking a Vitamin A capsule and applying it topically to
your skin works wonders. I haven’t yet tried though.

I have used milk on my face overnight, I used to do it before. I mixed a few
drops of lemon in it too. Milk contains Vitamin A too!

Alright, .

Hope this will work out for you!!

Take Care,

God Bless!!!

Thanks for those tips Reema!!! As someone who also went down the antibiotic
road, I have to completely agree with you, they ruin your body. As a matter of
fact, I had to be hospitalized several years ago over them (more specifically
acromycin and sumycin). So, unless its life or death, the three of us will never
cross paths again. I also took accutane, and after a couple of months, my
hipjoints began to hurt, and the skin on the limbs of the left side of my body
began to get this horrible crawling sensation. So, I quit accutane when that
began to occur. And as a matter of fact, I just experienced that "crawling"
again, and its been over 7 months since I stopped taking it.

One quick question about the vitamin A if you don’t mind; did you mean 30 IU or
30,000 IU? I think I may want to try that, and see if its a good topical
alternative (liquid capsules of course ;) )
