Whiteheads

Good Morning,

I recently received some really helpful information that I wanted to pass along
to the group It was published by Dr. Ruthie Harper a board certified medical
internist and creator of NuVANTE a skincare product line. There is a newsletter
that comes out monthly and when I find helpful information I’ll pass it along to
the group. I know there was a question a while back about whiteheads. Hope it
helps…

Why do I keep getting whiteheads even though I clean my face every day?
We found out that proper exfoliation prevents Milia, those annoying little bumps
that appear as whiteheads below the surface of the skin that never seem to go
away. And unfortunately, cleanliness isn’t the problem - milia form because of
the skin’s inability to naturally exfoliate. When the skin cells do not
exfoliate, they form tiny cysts that appear like white beads and become trapped

below the surface of the skin. This forms the thick material that oozes out when
you pop the whitehead, which you are of course strongly recommended not to do.

So what has worked for us and what do we recommend? Since exfoliation is very
important when dealing with milia-prone skin, by keeping the epidermis thin and
smooth, you can cut down on their formation. Replenish, one of the active
products by NuVANTE accomplishes this goal. Sometimes, milia won’t come out of
the skin’s surface, despite your best efforts. Then you may need your
dermatologist to remove the milia. In a physician’s office, milia are easily
removed. The skin is cleansed, and the skin overlying the milia is gently opened
with a sterile lancet or needle. Pressure is applied with a comedone extractor,
and the milia typically pop out.

Using rejuvenating and exfoliating products like Nourish and Replenish is
important not only to prevent milia but to also create optimally healthy skin.

My Comment…

I’ve been using NuVante for 6 months now and I have had wonderful results. No
more acne and blemishes. I also had really red and dry scaly patches that I
used to just cover up with makeup. But no more, I’ve learned what ingredients
to stay away from too and I found that some of the ingredients in my high end
makeup were actually hurting my skin because of the ingredients, chemicals and
preservatives that it had. I never even thought that this expensive name brand
would have contributed to my unhealthy skin but it did. No I don’t even have to
use makeup because my skin tone is even and clear.

I know there are others in the group who have used this product too and have
gotten good results, if you’re one of them, share your experience with it too. :-)
And, as I get more information, I’ll pass it along to the group.

Have a great weekend everyone.
