Has anyone tried Accutane?
I’m debating whether or not to go on this powerful drug, but was
wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with it?
thanks!

Go to www.makeupalley.com to the skin care boards. A lot of people there have
tried accutane with mixed reviews. I’m sure you could do a search on the boards
for accutane and gather a lot of helpful info.

I have Tried Accutane for 3 months. It WORKED like a ‘wonder drug’ as they call
it. However, It only works when your ‘ON’ it…
In my case all the antibiotics I’ve used worked only when I was on them,
otherwise when I stopped using it, I got the zits back….
Right now I just take a Vitamin A tablet 30 000 IU. And use Vitamin E and Aloe
Vera Creams/Oils on my face.
But to answer your in one sentence ‘Yes Accutane does work for a while’
My friends had to use it twice….3 months and the next year they had to do the
same thing again for three months….then it totally diappeared…!!!
Have you talked to your dermatologist about this? What do they say? How bad is
your acne?
Have you tried using anything Herbal on your skin? Or Natural kitchen remedies
that are antiseptic?
Good Luck with All that and let me know more…
God Bless…

I have used it. It worked for awhile, but my acne came back within a couple of
months. I have tried absolutely everything out there. I would HIGHLY recommend
using Arbonne’s Clear Advantage Acne System. I learned about it from this
board. Started using it, and my face is almost completely clear. I used to
look like a pizza (no joke).
www.naturalskinandhealthcare.myarbonne.com is the website. I know alot of
people on here started using it, and have gotten great results too! Give it a
try.

Hi,
I’ve tried accutane. Trust me; for all the side effects you may have to endure,
it isn’t worth it. I’m sure others have had good experiences with this drug, but
from my point of view, I’m telling you to avoid it at all costs. If you do
decide to use it, please be absolutely sure you’ve exhausted every other
resource, and that your acne is indeed as advanced as you think it is.
Hope this helps,
Maya

Good day. Talking about Accutane, I was like you hesitating to try it. However,
I been on this powerful medicine about 6 month. (Started on May 2003)
Be patient and you must ready for pain and ugly face for a period of time
because once u decided to take accutane, your acne will be worst before it get
better. Pray and be patient sure will recover from severe acne. Visit to Church
or Temple or even talk to close friend when u are on accutane treatment. I find
it I had suiside attemp when i was on accutane. However, u will not regret it as
complete clear skin is wat i had now. I take a very good care of my skin after i
complete the accutane course. My acne mark completely fade in 6 month of
continuous using whitening product. My only concern now is the scar that left on
my face.

Robert,
I highly recommend using Clear Advantage Acne System. The results have been
great. Please check it out. It is much cheaper than what you are doing and
much better and safer for your skin.

I had it many many years ago when I was suffering from severe acne, I
Thanks, Rob
suppose soon after it had first become available. I had excellent
results, although when I first started taking it, the acne got ALOT
worse for couple of weeks or so. After some weeks, I think, my face
cleared completely and it stayed that way for probably few years,
even tho I had stopped ALL treatment. Since then, unfortunately the
acne has come and gone. My doctor is not keen on roaccutane so will
not refer me to have it again so I have had to have antibiotics from
time to time. I am now trying N-lite laser treatment together with
professional facials/peels - so far I have been able to cut down on
the antibiotics but not too sure about N-lite, it is very expensive
and taken a while to get the (apparent) benefits. Having said all
this, my acne is fairly mild these days, not severe so I am probably
aiming high, ie for blemish-free skin
