hi…
i had acne for 13 years and i had a serious depression.i couldn’t get rid of it

I am a skeptic about treating acne from the inside out I suppose. I didnt
have bad acne as a teen just since I graduated high school I am now 25 and
it has begun to clear up using avon’s new line PoreFection. I tried
clearasil as a teen and it worked for mild outbreaks but it didnt work later
on when they got worse. I’ve tried Avon’s clearskin line but it’s for teen
skin and only helped a little. On the subject of acne being cleared up by
someone’s diet I’m not saying it doesnt happen different things affect
people different ways so it could help to cut out caffeine and sugar. I am a
notorious junkfood junkie!!!! Although I have cut caffeine out well actually
my uroligist did when I was a kid. If you like tea you DON’T have to give it
up or find a substitute they do make decaf tea that has been the only tea in
my household for years now! I was given the line that your diet doesnt have
anything to do with acne but I’m not sure I totally belive that either
because everyone is different but I was unwilling to give up my junk food I
am already a picky eater but have found I can still have my french

hi,
i just replied to another message you wrote before this one. but i have a lot of
questions. i am vegetarian and i explained that i am on a raw food diet but i
still am only 50% raw. i have a hard time with food control. if i’m already
feeling down on myself i use food as a comfort and i will eat something bad like
icecream. that’s only about once a week if that. but that’s the problem it’s
consistent just like my breakouts. i would like any info you can give me any
knowledge you have would be great.
i am currently going to acupuncture, mainly for infertility but she says once i
have completed the course of treatments my body will balance itself out and my
breakouts should go away. the problem is that she is so anti-vegetarian and she
is blaming all my problems on my "lack of protein" which i highly disagree with.
i explained to her that greens have quite a bit of protein. i drink a green

i am wondering how much you pay per treatment for the N-Lite laser treatments?
I was doing a treatment called dermasound or ultrasonic facial, my skin cleared
up after just 2 treatments. i just can’t find anyone in Vegas that does that
treatment.
i have had 3 months in my entire life that i was completely zit free, during
those three months i was getting B12 injections 3x a week, and i was taking
about 5 other vitamins as well. that’s the reason i believe that it comes from
within.
thanks for your message i appreciate it.
I don’t believe it necessarily "comes from within" as such - some of
us just happen to be unlucky, in the same way other people might get
a different medical condition or disease. I do agree that acne is a

hi people just wanted to start off saying acne suck! i am 20 yrs old
and i have acne on my back shoulders and face and a few on my chest it
feels like a disease! i’ll tell you what i tried … i tried accutane
that was pretty okay yet drys up the skin and makes it really dry and
cracking ( thus cause bleeding if follow as everyday ) i tried
proactiv … didn’t feel it works that well… seems to break out more
then suppose to as well as dried out skin. i used st ives appricot
scrub that’s okay nice yet kindda drys skin if used with something
else. phisoderm used …. dries out skin makes feel cracky.. used
clinique … hate the clarifying lotion burns … and soap smells.
used clearasil max dries out skin. lately trying this new product
which they include pills and it’s 10 $ at cub food. i comes with a
facial thingy … got this huge zit on each side of my face … we’ll
see how it goes after 30 days ( it claims gurantee to work or money
back)

very distressing condition.
Many treatments are available, in my view people usually manage to
find something that helps in the end.
eg I’m having N-Lite laser treatment and peels (and using Jan Marini
products) and have been able to cut down on the tetracyline and my
skin has much improved over the course of few months/year.

Hi,
A year ago i was asking the same as you. I have spent a year gaining
information on detoxing and cleanses to help get rid of my acne. You
will find that by searching on google you will be inundated with lots
and lots of informative sites.
Cutting back on sugar and caffeine is a really good start. I have found
that by cutting out all known toxins from my diet my acne has cleared
up 100%. I now take in no caffeine at all. Try Rooibos tea as a tea
substitute (sometimes called Roo-bosh) it tastes like tea but has no
caffeine in at all. I no longer get caffeine headaches. If you are
interested in detoxing start slowly. A ‘raw food’ diet is
recommended…fruit, vegetables, fruit/veg juices, as much water as you
can manage. Then follow a detox with an enema. Enemas are not as yukky
as people think…the results are astounding. I felt more energetic and

Hi Brittany,
Im sorry to hear you are feeling in despair with your breakouts. I
have just posted a reply to jennifers post which you may find
helpful, it details the ‘au naturelle’ route regarding acne clean up
techniques, like concentrating on your diet.
What diet do you have? How much fruit/vegetable juice and water do
you consume in a day. How frequent are your bowel movements? Stress
can bring on breakouts too, what has occured over the past six months
that maybe could contribute to your breakout?
I suffered terribly with acne for 13 years, became agoraphobic,
introverted, depressed, lost all motivation for life…all through
acne. I truly understand why you feel this despair. The ONLY method

I totally agree with you Jennifer….at age 25 experiencing still
major breakouts i decided enough was enough! I gave up caffeine,
sugar, white bread, white rice (replace with wholegrain bread and
brown rice) processed foods, take aways, bad fats and oils….started
detoxing regularly, and also taking regular enemas. I was on Dianette
pill too to control my acne, which worked to some extent but i got
severe migraines through it. I have come off that now and due to my
diet the dreaded pimples have stayed away!
I know that you go to the doctor and they say its got nothing to do
with what you eat….but they are SO wrong! Changing my diet is the
ONLY thinkg that has cleared my acne…that was after spending
thousands over the years on products that never worked..even pro-
active.
