Many people will not need any further treatment after Accutane. My acne cleared
up almost 100% but has gradually returned over a couple of years. 
Pretty sad
after enduring the 5 or 6 month treatment. Nevertheless, I would recommend it
for people with cystic acne especially because topical treatments do not seem to
work on it.
Also, many pharmaceutical companies offer similar programs for people in need.
If there are other acne medications your dr./clinic/hospital would prescribe but
are not affordable, such as Retin-A or antibiotics etc., you may be able to find
a program for those as well. Finally, I would like to add that I am now
starting to investigate some of what I have read on this group’s postings re:
liver cleanse, dietary changes etc. I had a long history of drug/alcohol abuse
up until 4 years ago when I cleaned up. Toxins get stored in the liver, and it
makes sense that my liver needs to be flushed, because the toxins seem to be
escaping through my skin as acne. Thanks everyone for their insight and advice!
