Need help for scar problems

Sunday, August 27th, 2006

Try a mud mask once a week on the oily parts of your face. It’ll help control
it.

For Acne:
Use Clearasil both the cleanser, and the acne cream
For The Spots:
Use lotion that hidrates your skin, but doesn’t leaves
it too oily, like Aveno. Aveno products are not oily,
but they SURE HYDRATE YOUR SKIN!
For Large Pores:
Large Pores suck, so when you are washing your face,
wash your face with warm water, and then massage
whatever product you use for your skin. When rinsing
use cold water (this closes up the pores, BUT ALLOWS
them to breath [clogged up pores are bad!])

Hey Everyone! I’m New here, and I’ve been reading
what you people have been posting. I’m human too
so I use to suffer (and sometimes it just comes
back to haunt me) from some of the problems you
people have.

Use Clearasil both the cleanser, and the acne cream

Microdermisbrasion

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Mary Kay does not use Mineral Oil in their microderm
kit and the product is 100% guaranteed. No questions
asked. If you don’t like it, or it doesn’t work for
you, you get your money back.

Yeah…I know that…I was trying to explain it differently for people. The
ones that work best are the creamy ones with the light exfoliating beads. Over
the counter products don’t really work…I either make my product or buy it from
work (biomedic is my favorite). I’m a skin care specialist, by the way.

The reason it doesn’t "lather up" is b/c there isn’t soap in it! You don’t
want to wash your face with soap!

Do you find it in the cosmetic department? Purpose cleaner was one the
list from the derm. He suggester Cetaphil, Purpose, and Oil of Olay.

Actually the lather is made from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Products that say
they are "soap free" have this ingredient or one just like it. I get more
irritation and way more acne with those products versus using a Natural Soap
that is made for acne. When I say Natural I mean NO artificial ingredients.
Many products claim to be Natural but aren’t. I’ve tried ALL the regular
acne cleansing products and it did either nothing or made it worse.

Hey,
I would be wary about Diane 35 as it caused severe depression in me
and I didn’t even figure out that was the cause until it was way too
late. I had to quit my uni course and now I will have to repeat the
year next year.
Anyway the Diane 35 did really help my acne. I was on it for 4 months.
It totally cleared it up but I have had to stop it as well as go on
anti depressants and now my acne has come back worse than ever.
Before I started taking it I read lots of reviews of people saying it
really cleared them up and it did for me but just be wary if your mood
changes while taking it! Also nearly all the reviews say that the acne
comes back the same or even worse.
Oh yeah now I’m back on tetracylines which make me feel sick and
benzoyl peroxide which totally dries my skin out.. I feel like my life
revolves around my acne :( (more…)

Looking for acne tips!

Here’s my treatment, some on my own and others per Derm.

Wash with Clean and Clear Acne Wash, getting ready to switch to Purpose (I was
using Cetaphil and I think it made my acne worse) Dr. doesn’t recommend the
Clean and Clear. Anything that doesn’t clog pores he says. I apply Metrocream
(RX from Derm). I use a coverup on the pimples and blemished, Almay with
salylic acid in it. Then I wash at night and apply the metrocream again (per
Derm). I am on Tetracyclin twice a day (per the Derm). I take two zinc pills a
day (per me). I wash my pillowcases and sheets in Tide Free and use Bounce Free
to dry them. So far, it is clearing up. Best it has looked since I have been
going to the Derm. Maybe I can stay on this regimen for life - lol. I HATE
PIMPLES!

Microdermisbrasion

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

hi april! i also get microdermabrasions done which are followed by mini-facials.
i have a lot of milia on my cheeks, which are like white bumps underneath the
surface of the skin. they are small for the most part, but there are some that
are a bit bigger in size. i get them done professionally as well. the
estethecian does extractions for me during the mini-facial.

i was wondering when you go for your micros, what do you receive as treatment?
i want to see if my estethician is doing the same. how long have you been going
and how much do you pay? how often do you go and how long did it take to see
results?

thanks.

Over the counter kits tend to have mineral oil in them (which clogs your pores
causing more problems)…so you can see where I’m going with this. Go to a
professional.
