PCOS is polycystic ovary sydrome, and no offense to the person who sent the
first post, but it DOES NOT cause acne. I have been diagnosed with that and am
in the medical field as well. Also Christina, with Tetracycline, please be
careful as it does cause infertility. There are natural products that you can
use to clear up your acne. I would check those out.

I have never had acen until after my daughter was born. Then I would get a
few cyst (the ones that hurt), and I got sick of it, so I went to the derm. I
have tried Retin A with cleomycin, that didn’t work. Then I tried an oral -
memory lapse right now. Now I am on Tetracyclin and topical Metrocream .75%
WOW what a huge difference!

After using Retin A - my acne became severe. It covered my entire face!
Horrible, I wouldn’t even leave the house. Now I am only down to a few pimples.

pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome. It creates unusual hormone imbalance,
and one of the symptoms is acne. I have been diagnosed with pcos also. I
never had acne before either, and now I can barely cover it up. When I was a
teen
ager, people used to say how lucky I was with my complexion, and now I can’t
believe I have to deal with this at 31. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has
tried the mineral powder instead of makeup? Thanks Traci

Looking for acne tips!

I was on Accutane (70 mg’s) for about 5.5 months… and I’ve been off
of it for a year now… and my acne is coming back… slowly but
surely getting worse. It was just the oil (GRRRR) at first, and then
the clogged pores and blackheads… even with using Retin-A cream…
and now a few little cysts. Anyways, my Derm put me back on Minocin
and it was working for a bit, but a few little bumps that are looking
like cysts are starting to come back.

I’m so depressed and discouraged… my 1st treatment was
hellish… I broke out until my 4th month… but did end up clear at
the end of the 5.5 months…

Does anyone have any really good products they’ve tried to share with
anyone? As well as other Derm. options, laser, microdermabrasion
etc…

I’m glad someone else has the same opinion. I’m going to switch TODAY! lol.
Cetaphil doesn’t lather up, it’s like a thick water. My face doesn’t dry out as
using Clean and Clear with benzoyl Peroxide. My face feels more clean with the
Clean and Clear then Cetaphil.

Do you find it in the cosmetic department? Purpose cleaner was one the list
from the derm. He suggester Cetaphil, Purpose, and Oil of Olay.

Microdermisbrasion

I have tried microderm abrasion. It’s great. It
really is quite expensive if you go to a
doctor/dermatologist $100-200+
There are several over the counter types also now
available. Make sure you’re using one that has
aluminum oxide and provides a serum for repair
afterwards. I like the two step from Mary Kay. Check
it out.

Good Luck!

I used Cetaphil but it didn’t do what I needed it to do. It was
super gental, but it was almost too gentle. I didn’t feel like it
was doing anything when I was washing and I believe as well that it
made me break out too.
I started using Purpose by Johnson and Johnson. It’s awesome! It’s
super gentle but it removes make-up and even eye make-up! It’s not
that expensive….I think like $6 or something. You can buy it at
any drugstore or walmart or target, etc. I really liked it. It
lathered great and really cleaned my skin without overdrying or
making it worse.
This is just a suggestion….I hope it helps!
