I just bought some new Revlon foundation that works well. I sweat a lot (due
to a medication I take) and have oily skin. I don’t like to wear foundation
a lot but thought I would try it. It’s called Revlon Colorstay Makeup with
Softflex for Combination/Oily Skin. They also have a lighter coverage
version of it (I found after I bought this stuff) that claims to be
"sweatproof" but I haven’t got that one yet. If you have a lot of
blotchy/redness go with a yellower tone to tone down the blotchiness. I
haven’t bought the setting powder because it looks a bit dark for my plae
skin but I think I am going to try it anyway.
I also have had problems with foundation clogging my pores and just
looking awful on my skin. (I have big pores on my nose) I don’t like to wear
foundation a lot because it’s better to let your skin breathe but in the
winter, when I’m not sweating, I try to get away with some. Good Luck and
tell me what your results are! Also, if you are sensitive to Salycic Acid
look at the ingredients of makeup because they are sneaking it in

I personally HATE Murad. I bought the whole line and it just about killed my
sensitive skin. It says sensitive skin will be okay with it but after
slathering on all these different ’steps’ my face was ready to explode. My
face was burning and I had to wash all of it off after only 10 minutes
because it hurt so much.

I used Proactiv when it first came out and it did lighten some of my towels,
but not as much as store brands. Just remember to rinse your face and
hairline well.

I’m considering starting to use Proactiv– I used accutane for 5
months for awhile, and it worked great but came back again after a
year. My only fear– doesn’t Proactiv bleach clothes and towels? I’ve
used benzoyl peroxie stuff before and it bleached all my clothes
despite the fact that I was very careful to rinse my hands. Have you
had any problems with that?

Any suggestions on make-up to use for acne-prone and oily skin? I
feel like I’ve tried all of them, and they either clog my pores, look
orange, or make my face oilier.

Dear Friends

Its really fruitful to read the mail received from Acne Tips. Now I got
Alovera Plant and have some doubts in my mind which I want to get it

Vitamin A

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

I started taking high doses of Vitamin A, popping 10 Vitamin A pills a
day (100,000 IU). Still the oil comin out of my nose never went away,
my breakouts did subside a little. I’d decided to double the dose then
on another site I saw warnings aboout this and they posted a link to
www.thevitamincure.com that sells really strong Vitamin A topical stuff
in liquid from @ 25,000IU/drop. The oil stopped at once. I keep you
guys posted how I’m doing. I think stopping the oil is the key.

I can’t use any products which contain enzyl peroxide as I got skin marks which
are even worse than acne itself.

I learned from another person a very simple and effective way to control my
acne problem. She avoids using any lotions or toners, but only Avene cleanser
before applying NexCosm’s Porever Pure blemish control. I followed it, and
within one week, my skin was visibly improved.

Vitamin A

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

I had really oily skin and acne. The only thing to get rid of the
oiliness was accutane. I went on it 2 and half times and stopped the
oil, but the minute I went off the pills, it came right back.

I started taking high doses of Vitamin A, popping 10 Vitamin A pills a
day (100,000 IU). Still the oil comin out of my nose never went away,
my breakouts did subside a little. I’d decided to double the dose then
