That’s so funny!! I thought of that a long time ago, actually I thought
about attempting a moisturizer that contained one’s own saliva! Cool huh.

Estee Lauder Safety Level

Folks, don’t let the misrepresentation in the previous email terrify you.
If these products were causing ANY kind of damage, they’d be off the
shelves. But, nothing’s showing abnormal and they’ve been out for YEARS, so
use them to your heart’s content. When you read any post on this forum,
realize that people speak for or against products for many reasons,
including ignorance, financial gain, or revenge. I speak out to try and
help– not scare.

After receiving the previous post, I researched further… I’ve found that
the reason the score is so high is that some of the ingredients that the
company uses have not been assessed for reactions (I researched this on the
website that you provided). If Estee Lauder doesn’t have info, neither do
the other companies that use these ingredients. Also, included in the
score, is the rating of whether or not a particular ingredient does what it
says it does. I don’t know about all of you, but I think almost ANY

Has anyone tried this?

This sounds too good to be true! However I would try it because I
would like my skin to look amazing. I read this advice in another skin
group I am in:

Try taking a teaspoon of PURE VIRGIN OLIVE OIL everyday. Just sip it in
every morning, your sking will be amazing within 3 days.

I read posts concerning holistic doctors and I was wondering does
anyone know of how to find them? The only ones I have been to are not
holistic and have never mentioned toxins to me.

How DO I Treat Pimples?

Tip of the Day
Use Your Own Saliva!! - Human Saliva is known to posses strong
enzymes which will effectively reduce and remove pimples in a few
days.

Apply saliva directly over the pimples and keep them over for an
hour or so before you wash up. Early morning is the right time to
apply saliva as the enzymes generated at that time have better
capability to treat pimples.

So Try this remedy and let us know if it worked..

The Estee Lauder brand scored 4.1 our of a 5 (5 is the highest score).
Makes you realize that just because it is a designer brand and is
expensive does not mean it is the best!

Hi everyone new member

Hi everyone!!
Thanks for having me this is an awesome group. I look forward to
getting to know all of you, listening to your experience, and
telling you my experience. I am now on Ortho Tri Cyclen and it has
helped and I only have a few pimples. However, my skin is more
sensitive then most and it needs special care. Usually products with
certain ingredients (benzoyl peroxide, saliylic acid, etc.) irritate
my skin after a while and I stay away from them. Right now I am
using a face wash with glycolic acid sold to me by a doctor. I love
the effects of glycolic acid and I think it helps get rid of dead
skin. I use a tinted moisturizer by Burt’s Bees. I want to ask
everyone what foundation they use that is good for oily skin. I used
a Mary Kay foundation but am unhappy with it so I am looking for a
new one. I also read some posts about Toxic vs non Toxic productrs.
Does the toxic ingredients have an effect on acne? Is it better to

Laurie-Jeanne,

1. NO WHERE in my e-mail did I say that the FDA governed the cosmetics
industry. The FDA classifies cosmetics and personal care products, but does
not regulate them. In 1938, the FDA granted self-regulation to the
Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrance Association (CTFA). I simply stated…
"BUTYLENE GLYCOL - this glycol is the only glycol that is not on the GRAS
list. (FDA’s Generally Recognized As Safe list). Go to FDA website. ".
The FDA WEBSITE is www.fda.gov. Click on "Cosmetics". It is full of very
useful information about the cosmetic industry. If you click on G, it will
give you information about the GRAS list.

2. This website is for sharing information with others including what
products we have used and what has worked and not worked for them. I simply
was sharing my experience.
