Holistic MD’s
I tried Proactive before and did not like it also. Right now I use face wash,
sometimes astrigent, and burt’s bees tinted moisturizer. I use to use a bunch of
stuff on my skin everyday and it just went nuts, I think my skin is better when
I use less cosmetics. Proactive or anything else with those same ingredients
would just irritate my skin. My skin looks better now then in the last five
years since I am on OTC. I have had microdermabrasion done but I had to stop my
medication two weeks prior to the treatment which did not help. I will look into
that sight; can I buy from a member/consultant in my area?
I know what you mean about the health food stores. You really have
to read labels. I found MSG in the soup mix there!
I met a lady whose Mom used Pro-Active and it literally burnt her
face and throat area. There are still some red marks that look like
a sunburn on her throat and it’s a year old. She had micro-
dermabrasion to get rid of it on her face. She looks quite young
now! I’m thinking to try that too but you have to be careful that
the esthetician doesn’t use an aluminum based substance for doing
it. It cleanses and vacumms the pores from what I understand. The
lady that does it had quite acne-prone skin and she has perfect skin
now. I don’t know if you can do when you have existing acne. I
would think it would hurt. If I go ahead with it, I’ll let you all
know how it works.
