frustrated beyond frustrated

I know exactly how you feel. I have somewhat sensitive skin and it is SO
hard to find a product that won’t destory your skin. I was actually
using a knockoff of proactive, it was called AcneFree. I can tell you
from experience, don’t use it. You never truly get rid of your acne, you
can’t go out in the sun, and worst of all, my skin got SO dry, it was
like I had a horrible peeling sunburn.

Have you tried Salicylic Acid? I have read that it is best for sensitive
skin. Although my skin is not as severly sensitive as yours here’s what
I’ve been doing: Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser to wash my
face. It contains 0.5% Salicylic Acid. I then use Neutrogena Rapid
Clear Treatment pads, they contain 2% Salicylic Acid. I use these
products at night alongside a spot treatment. Clean & Clear Advantage
Acne Spot Treamtent, contains also 2% Salicylic Acid. To fight my
severe acne, I am using about 4.5% Salicylic Acid. Incredibly, my severe

acne has really reduced and become less inflammed. All together these
products worked well for me, along by themselves, they didn’t do much.

I have also been recommended using a Mary Kay Acne Treatment Gel, this
does contain 5% benzoyl peroxide, so it could be too irratiting for you.
I am using this ONLY right now to see how my skin reacts, I’ll let you
know in a couple of weeks.

Over the counter products, as you know, are such a hit and miss. I
recommend reading product reviews and doing some research online to see
what OTC products will work best for you. I know that with Mary Kay and
Oxy, they have satisfaction guaranteed policys, so if they’re products
aren’t working, you can get your money back. Which is a VERY good thing!

The best thing is that you are visiting a dermatologist and you can get
the help you need. I cannot afford one, so I’ve been reventuring out on
my own, so I would definately talk to your dermatologist about products
that will work for you. And if you hate a product he’s recommened, let
him know!

I really wish you luck in fighting your acne. Acne really does suck,
especially in the summer when makeup really isn’t required, but guess
what..I’ve got to pile it on because of my acne. I hope there will be
other suggestions for you to fight your acne. Hope I helped some;
however.
