I have almost had it with my skin! I have been breaking out for about
5 months now (since I stopped birth control) and my acne is just
getting worse. Visits to the dermatologist are way too expensive for
me. I really need some help here! What works?!?

I have tried Aveno Foaming Cleanser for Acne, toothpaste, Mary Kay
skin care systems, washing my face in salt water, AcneFree, St. Ives
Blemish Control Creamy Cleanser, Clean and Clear spot treament, Rapid
Control Clear pads - NONE which have worked for me.

I need some help! I feel like my acne is just overtaking my face.

With the marketers of various acne products out there to
make a buck at the expense of naïve acne patients, one step
that very well could help clear the skin and delay the aging
process is right there literally at your finger tips.
It’s called facial massaging and for me, a former acne
patient, it works.

Now friends, I suffered from acne.

Actually, adult acne may even be more devastating since
there’s no excuse such
as “it’s just puberty, you will outgrow it….” I guess all
the people who tried to console me as a teen, who sadly had
to deal with acne till I was about 22, were wrong. They
meant well, but were still wrong.

Now, adult acne plagues 25% of adult males and up to 50% of
adult females, though it is often not recognized.

Found the Greatest Thing

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Hello,

I am 34, and had acne problems as a teen. Now as a adult usually it is
during that time of the month. I use to get creams etc.. from my
dermatologist. I tried the Acne Gel from Mary Kay. It is awesome!!!! It
costs $7 and lasts about two weeks. My stepson who is 14 uses it, and
it has done wonders for him. Also other ladies I work with use it for
their teenagers, and it has been a life saver.

I also use their microderm abbrasion about twice a week. It really
cleans your pours. I just can not speak highly enough of the acne gel!

Aveeno with Sal. Acid, and general thoughts on this stage of acne

hey elaine, i can relate to your frustration. nothing seemed to help for
a long time. talking about it and doing as much research as you can
should help you find something to manage it soon. good luck. CJ

I am quite fed up myself. I will be 50 in a few months and it is
worse than ever.
I have tried many different products. I am under the care of a
dermatologist.
I use Retin-A.
He has prescribed Doryx (I may not be spelling that right). It is
doxycycline that doesn’t cause as much problems with IBS. But it is
HIGHLY expensive so I declined to take it. Although he feels that is
what will really help me. I have been getting the cortisone shots in
my face for the last few months again. Now that is painful! LOL
I am in perimenopause and have been in a lot of stress this year. My

Proactive?

Monday, January 15th, 2007

That’s great Kassie, thanks for letting me know and I will let
everyone know how it goes with the African Black Soap. Diminishing
scaring is also of importance to me, so if this helps, that’s excellent!

I have acne

hey, vent away. i think it helps as much as anything else. i also get tan
to cover/clear pimples and you’re right, it is risky. good luck to both
of us. CJ

My name is Tammy and I have acne. I have had acne since I was 25 and
am now 33. I have tried many things over the years. I have just
discontinued use of Murad, which didn’t work for me. I went back to
Proactiv which at least gives me some relief. I have never used a
product that completely eradicates the acne. I have used every
product
imaginable, have even tanned thinking that would help. It does help
for a while, but it might cause cancer, and I’m not willing to
substitute a bit of relief for cancer. I am always interested in
things that help other people. Hey, you never know it might help me.
Thanks for listening to me vent.

My Daughter - Now Acne Free

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

No, there is no acid or anything that’s not natural. All of Arbonne’s products
are outstanding!

My daughter’s skin would become extremely red and irritated with all of the
other products that we tried. Also, the other products made her eyes burn even
by just applying them in other areas (like chin) completely away from her
eyes….I’m sure that’s one of the acid affects.

I know that the makeup line is used by many people who couldn’t use makeup at
all because of their eye sensitivity as well.

I am in perimenopause and have been in a lot of stress this year. My son moved
out in Jan., my mom & dog died on the same day 8 weeks ago, I had major dental
surgery that is STILL painful, etc. Perhaps this is contributing… I don’t
know.
I have tried many different things as I said…. Proactive didn’t help at all.
I don’t really think the Retin-A is helping.
