Tried EVERYTHING out there

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

Hi,

There are four "proximate" causes of acne, known by all dermatologists:
1. Excess sebum (oil) production
2. skin pores that don’t open properly
3. bacterial infection
4. inflammation

The products you mention try to treat acne by removing the oil, and
causing the skin to peel, which will hopefully open the pores. The
challenge is that if the desmosomes that attach the skin cells to each
other are not properly dissolving as the skin cells reach the surface,
then peeling extra layers will not open the pores, and not allow the
cleansers to even get to all the excess oil being produced.

Hi Lyly,
My daughter has acne problem as well. I did a lot of research on the Internet
and found a site www.skincarereviews.net and ordered clear pores on their
recommendation. It has worked really well for her. The site has a ton of
information and best of all it’s totally free.

You might want to visit this site.

I have literally tried everything out there possible to treat acne. I
mean Proactive, MD Skincare, even the other acne line from Rodan &
Fields, also Murad Skincare, and of course, not to mention the
Wal-Mart stuff such as Clearasil, Biore, Neutrogena, etc. But of
course not all at once. Just over the course of the years of 15 to

Hi Lyly,

I hear ya! We seem to have the same issues. My Esthetician has been giving mr
peels and facials regularly to clear up the acne but she recently put me on a
line called LexLi. I started using it 3 months ago and we havent done a peel
since! It was developed by a plastic surgeon she used to work for. It is
AMAZING! If I hadent started using this when I did, its very possible I would
Ice Pick type scars on my face. Yikes!
Ive recommended this to a few ladies I work with (they’re kids have acne) and
they have fabulous results as well. Its a litte on the spendy side–For ex: what
I use is the Acne Line and that is around 110.00. But it lasts over a month and
it cleared me up.

Let me know if you would like additional info and I can help you place an
order.

Some people claim it is just a myth to avoid certain foods
when effectively treating acne. However, this is false.
There are certain foods that must be avoided.

Now, many dermatologist and doctors don’t see the connection
between one’s diet, constipation, a toxic colon and the acne
that you are suffering from, or perhaps they do but to keep

I have literally tried everything out there possible to treat acne. I
mean Proactive, MD Skincare, even the other acne line from Rodan &
Fields, also Murad Skincare, and of course, not to mention the
Wal-Mart stuff such as Clearasil, Biore, Neutrogena, etc. But of
course not all at once. Just over the course of the years of 15 to
now, which is 21 years of age. Nothing seems to be helping and I
desperately WANT clear skin. It’s not all over my face, but it’s just
zits and pimples here and there…and then more here and there!! Some
days my face is clear, but the next day, it could break put like
volcanoes all over my face. I don’t know what to do and I just want
someone to share their experience or maybe "secret" to great clear
skin! I envy those with smooth skin all over their face. I used to
have it, for like 2 days, but it would break out. I can’t explain it.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Question on the "purging period"

Monday, February 26th, 2007

Hi Sarah,

Ive tried Proactive and as soon as I quit using it all my acne came
back. I now have an Esthetician who told me she reaserched Proactive
and apparently (in lamens terms) it bury’s the acne and the
infections. You break out at first, but then when it seems to be
getting better, its only ‘hiding’ it deep under the surface. Just an
FYI coming from a very knowledgeable skin care specialist :) I found something thats does work, if you are interested please email
me and we can chat.

In spite of the numerous acne help methods out there, keep
in mind that natural methods of acne treatment are perhaps
the most beneficial. I have written on some steps for an
acne home remedy regimen, but I must add the necessity of
sleep as an integral part.

Sleep and relaxation are two vital necessities that come in

Some help…

Hi all,

let me start by saying my name is Bill Irvine and i have helped
people with ACNE. See my website at www.billirvine.com

I joined this group initially with the intention of reading ‘real
life’ experiences of individuals after going through ‘treatment’ for
ACNE , whether that be by means of drugs, lotions, creams or any
other method.

However, I have read some very deep and moving posts, and would
really like to help some of those that i can.

I am not offering any ‘pie in the sky’ methods here to you, but i am
prepared to offer a treatment that i know works …

I concur. Proactiv is EXCELLENT, but you have to be consistent to achieve and
see the best results. If you feel that the product is too much for you or too
strong - there is a gentler line that is offered if you inquire. But you have
to try the regular line first before going to the gentler line.
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only use the cleanser and toner - because
the lotion makes my skin oily.

I encourage everyone to really try and understand your skin needs other than -
I have acne or bad acne. I have adult acne and it can be a pain! a menace. But
after years of my skin going up and down and with boards such as this one, I am
learning to understand that everything does not work for me.

Your skin has two parts to it .. internal and external. External can be
manipulated but the internal - taking antibiotics, etc - I believe is not the
best choice to make you skin clear without a side effect along the line
